Ao oni

Well I am a huge fan of the ao oni series and its fan games and all, the movie is great too with lots of blood, action and is similar to the game at some points. I am excited to watch the sequel as well. I have watched this movie 3-4 times and I only love the whole ao oni franchise more, Ao Oni 1,2,3 are all excellent with remakes and fan games like Ao Oni R, Kuro Oni, Kagame Oni, Nira Oni, Class Oni and many more. NoProps has made great games and movies for this franchise, this is a great gem to the japanese horror games community, this movie is definitely worth a watch, it is very underrated.

Well, great work again NoProps, I have tried your Ao Oni series, consisting of Ao Oni, Ao Oni 2,Ao Oni 3 and movies including Ao Oni, Ao Oni version 2.0/Ao Oni 2;they're all 10/10 man like you are a godly programmer, you create so great Japanese horror games and movies, this movie definitely doesn't deserve 4/10 which is its rating now, it deserves an 8 atleast, for me it is a perfect 10. This is like one of the best movies I have ever seen, despite it being only an hour long, I enjoyed every second of it and this is definitely worth the watch. Also the review above says it is boring, well I respect your opinion but honestly it is not boring, the ambience, chases and music are all great and infact it is better than the game at some points.

Even the movie does know if it has a story. Actors are just bleak. There's random "running while carrying a go pro" camera used to give a sense of Blair Witchesque feeling but because of the actors/actresses expressionless performances seems annoying. Movie has little run-time but still tries to make the story complex.

Story quality was so bad I thought about the fact that a fan-made Youtube movie will be better than this and have more passion while having close connection to the source material.

The only thing I "can" like is Ao Oni (Blue Demon) even though we see it for less than 3 minutes I like the design.

Ending really made no sense. I feel as if I watched the movie in reverse my enjoyment will increase. If you have an itch for more Ao Oni content after playing the game you can watch this.
