Avis à la une
This is a major step up for Punjabi cinema. The level of production, cinematography, and the overall ambience created has not been seen before in the Punjabi industry. Jassar's and Ghuggi's acting, as well as that of the supporting cast, is phenomenal. The narrative grips the audience from start to finish. It is a powerful retelling of the Komagata Maru history. This movie diverges from the comedic elements often seen in Punjabi movies, instead playing on the story and narrative. It sticks close to the facts of history, showing the good as well as the bad that actually happened. Realistic masterpiece!
Guru Nanak Jhaj is not just a movie-it's an emotional journey that reconnects us with the roots of our rich spiritual and cultural legacy. The storytelling, direction, and cinematography all come together beautifully to present a powerful message of faith, resilience, and the timeless teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
A special thanks to the Vehli Janta team for bringing this meaningful story to the screen. Their dedication to quality Punjabi cinema is once again evident, and their commitment to preserving our history and values through film deserves deep appreciation.
Kudos to the entire cast and crew for their stellar performances and hard work. This film is a must-watch for every generation, and we are truly grateful for such a thoughtful and inspiring cinematic experience.

The movie, I was waiting for so long. And it was worth waiting for. Loved every bit. Acting, Screenplay, Direction, Music, just goosebumps. This is what Punjabi Cinema needs. Hope many other actors will take a lesson and come up with such good projects in the future. Tarsem Jassar is the man who is showing a new direction to the Punjabi Cinema. First, with Mastaney, and now Guru Nanak Jahaz. These movies show the potential this team holds and expecting more such projects in the future. I love this team from the beginning, from their album Vehli Janta, and now they are ruling the Industry. Bless them, keep shining..
Guru Nanak Jahaz is a cinematic triumph that brings the Komagata Maru incident to life with heart and authenticity. Tarsem Jassar's powerful performance as Mewa Singh is nothing short of mesmerizing, carrying the weight of history in every scene. Gurpreet Ghuggi shines in a deeply emotional role, elevating Punjabi cinema to new heights. The visuals, VFX, and haunting score create an immersive experience, while the story's fidelity to historical truth hits hard. This isn't just a movie-it's a moving tribute to forgotten heroes and a must-watch for every Indian. A true masterpiece! Waheguru chardikala bakhshe.
Last evening, my mother took me to watch a film that I now believe is not just a cinematic experience-but a cultural milestone. The movie is a towering piece of art, history, and emotion. I walked into the theater expecting a period drama, but I walked out shaken, moved, and inspired.
This is not just a film-it's a statement. A reminder of forgotten heroes. A retelling of a painful chapter in history that has long deserved the limelight, especially from within the Punjabi film industry itself.
The actor playing Mewa Singh delivers a performance so gripping, it almost feels like a spiritual embodiment. He carries the pain, anger, love for his people, and moral dilemma in his eyes, his pauses, his stillness. It's not just acting-it's presence. And the supporting cast rises to match him, each playing their part with authenticity and purpose.
