Avis à la une
Just when you think you've seen it all in the "Far Cry" series-villains with Napoleon complexes, mercenaries, tameable crocodiles, and even hallucinations filled with demonic visions-"Far Cry 4: Valley of the Yetis" comes along and throws snow monsters into the mix.
This expansion takes the protagonist to the harsh, snow-covered peaks of the Himalayas, where Ajay Ghale, after a helicopter crash, finds himself completely alone. And soon enough, he realizes that this region is home not only to hostile cultists but also to... actual Yetis.
Everything that makes "Far Cry" exciting is here: an open world (even if it's a mini version), gunfights, base upgrades, and, of course, stunning yet deadly natural landscapes. The story unfolds through intercepted radio messages and journals that reveal details about a mysterious cult worshipping ancient creatures. So, if you've ever wondered what happens when fanatics coexist with mythical monsters, "Valley of the Yetis" has the answer.
The DLC's location is completely different from the familiar Kyrat: snowy wastelands, icy caves, and treacherous mountain paths make survival much harder. And the Yetis... They deserve a special mention. These creatures are huge, terrifying, and don't go down after just a few bullets like normal enemies. They move fast, hit incredibly hard, and force you to think carefully about your approach-especially in the final battle.
A standout feature is the camp defense mechanic-at night, waves of enemies attack, and each day you need to fortify your base, set traps, and manage your resources wisely. This really reinforces the feeling that you're on hostile, unfamiliar territory, where every night could be your last.
"Valley of the Yetis" is, in my opinion, a solid expansion that's genuinely fun to play. Its atmospheric snowy setting, mysterious storyline, terrifying Yetis, and camp defense system make it engaging and unique. If you enjoyed "Far Cry 4" but want something fresh, this is a great way to extend your adventure.
