Avis à la une
PROS
+ Excellent actors (except Eleanor who was made to overact in this movie).
+ Good example of a coach who does not put career over family, but takes a break when he is most needed.
+ Adequate display of some of the problems at (American) schools.
+ Wonderful display against racism, against discrimination based on news articles and for the acceptance of ASD.

CONS
- Some unrealistic scenarios. We e.g. Do not know how Tyson ended up in a lake or why he had his knee bleeding before and during the race.
- Eleanor does not find healing in this movie from her outbursts of anger.
- 2 half-naked scenes.
- The scene in the epilogue is meant to be funny, but it displays vengeance, and reveals one problem of the movie, the lacking reconciliation between both parties.
I watched this movie in Spanish and the voice actors did a decent job at potraying the actors, but for Tyson sometimes he sounded robotic and with a few microphone 'pops', i don't think this how the original movie sounded.
Overall i was hooked from start to finish and invested in Tyson's journey.
Story: It's decent and is focused on a young teenager; Tyson which has autism and decides that would like to go to a normal school instead of being home schooled by his mother, there he meets people who are understanding of his condition; students and teachers.
Most importantly he makes a new friend who sparks in Tyson a passion for marathon running.
Acting: The acting is decent, ok... but there are times where they don't act very good and the person i noticed of doing this the more was Tyson's father; he's too serious and i never saw him smile in situations where he should've, everyone else was fine in my opinion.
Script: Good but oftentimes it lead to characters overreacting, you can see that in Tyson's mother where she often seems unreasonable with her husband over very important points.
Sound / Visuals: The visuals are cristal clear, specially in the school but there are no outstanding shots, soundwise nothing remarkable either since not a lot is going on; either characters talk or there is some kind of montage.

I enjoyed watching Tyson's Run. It is one of those feel good type of movies that is based on a true story and will inspire many. I love the message of faith and courage. I loved that Tyson is the unlikely hero of the movie. It was beautiful how a few people who refused to judge him and helped him gain confidence, be accepted and have the determination to not quit. His story is so heartwarming that so many of us can relate to and so many others
can learn from.
I am giving Tyson's Run four and a half stars. I recommend it for families who are looking for a way to spend a family movie night. Wonderful story to watch over and over.

This movie had me crying honestly. I don't get why so many people are hating on it. As an autistic person myself I related to a lot of things the main character had experienced in the movie. The race makes me think of a metaphor that goes along the lines of "do things and your pace" or "don't rush yourself to catch up with everyone else." I love how they have accurate Autism Representation in this movie. I have a boyfriend that acts almost exactly like the main character and he is autistic himself. The whole movie had me so emotional and so invested. I can't understand why others are calling the acting bad. The acting almost felt entirely real. I would definitely recommend watching especially if you struggle with autism yourself.
I liked it. It's the kind of movie to watch when you want to be reminded of the good in the world. Yes it's a bit simplistic, yes it's not a multi million budget or A+ actors, but it's sweet and it makes you feel good and what's wrong with that???
I laugh at the reviewers saying the kid didn't portray autism well. First off Autism is a spectrum and people at one end of the sprectrum are nothing like those at the other end, and then you have all those inbetween. Secondly, the kid who plays Tyson is actually on the spectrum so he probably knows a bit better than you.
So yeah, if you're looking for a movie thats gonna blow you away and have you talking about it for weeks, this probably ain't it. But if you just want to pass some time, cheer for a hero and feel good when you turn off the tv give it a shot.
