Okay, this one was a bit different. It merges a short horror story with a subtle advertisement for the director's YouTube channel. The main character, a young social media influencer, is livestreaming her unboxing of Valentine's Day gifts sent by her followers. But she's about to learn that some followers can be more obsessive, creepy, and malevolent than others.
This short film was longer than many of the director's other works-perhaps unnecessarily so. However, the extra time was put to good use, as I found myself expecting something to happen much earlier. I assumed the unboxing and testing of gifts would take a different turn, so the actual events and ending were a bit of a surprise. No complaints, though-this one worked well.
