little more than horror

A fair crafted short film . Its virtue - the themes , from video store and friendship in little town to the drops of nostalgia about 70 s comercials or the cursed video tape . Nothing impressive or original but just fair crafted, from performances to atmosphere and the last client who becomes the agent of infestation of town.

In good measure, not the thrill but a form of nostalgia represents the main virtue of this short film , smart made grace to themes who offer more than tension or thrill but a beautiful, ordinary , in essence, story about friendship.

And this makes interesting Video Barn, reminding, sure, the old video stores with the nostalgia implied.

Nice to watch.

This one's a seven star for me - 7/10

You'll guess what's about to happen pretty soon. Even though the story is average, the direction is good. The visual cues planted early on were a nice touch, subtly hinting at what was to come without giving too much away. The actors did a good job, but the dialogues could have been better.

It's more of a slow-burn thriller than outright horror. There aren't any jump scares or ghosts, and the tension is more psychological. If you've got a free evening and want something mildly suspenseful, this one does the job.

Not unforgettable, but not a regret either.
