Bang-won is a promising student under Grand Chancellor Min-je at Sungkyunkwan. Even though Won-kyeong is already engaged to a Goryeo royal, she feels a strong connection to Bang-won. When she bravely stands against officials over women's issues, Bang-won is the only one who understands and supports her. Seeing his willingness to give up privilege for a greater cause, Won-kyeong starts to believe that he is someone she can change the world with-and their love begins to grow.
