Avis à la une
The art of Yakshagana is a combination of dance and act. Whereas the movie "Veera Chandrahaasa" released in the name of yakshagana-movie, does not contain the dance except 2 cases. Hence this movie can not be considered as yakshagana category.
Shivarajkumar's character is forcefully added to the script which is not at all required.
Without a reason the movie drags towards part 2 which is again not required at all. The story could have been completed within single part itself.
The movie also teases Brahmin community for being foodie, as if the other community people do not eat food at all. The brahmin community became the easy target in this movie, since this community does not harm anybody.

Ravi Basrur has done an exceptional work. And the actor who played Veera Chandrakala and all other actors. The movie keeps you holding till the end. The bgm and portray of the classical yakshagana, truly an amazing job. The VFX could have been better and some comedy in thr first half was not that required. The BGM is plus point. The film keeps you in grip in thr second half. Thre climax is amazing. Ravi basrur closed the film in high expectations, hope he will make it even more better. I would totally recommend this film to all the movie lovers. Do watch it. Eagerly waiting for Veera Chandrahasa 2.
This heart-warming and beautifully made film is a perfect choice for a movie night with loved ones.
Whether you're watching with little kids, teenagers, parents, or grandparents, it offers something for everyone to enjoy.
With its touching story, charming moments, and universal appeal,
it's not just a movie - it's an experience meant to be shared.
Truly a must-watch! Very good music and screenplay it feels like watching a live nightlong yakshagana.
Highly recommend not only for yakshagana lovers but for every one.
Very rarely we get to see this kind of master piece movie. Veera Chandrahasa stands as a monumental effort to preserve and celebrate Karnataka's rich artistic heritage.

Veera Chandrahasa is a wonderful film that brings together strong storytelling, powerful music, and rich culture. The screenplay is engaging, and the background music (BGM) and sound effects add a lot of impact to every scene.
One of the best parts of the movie is how it showcases Yakshagana, the traditional art form of the Karavali (coastal Karnataka) region. It's great to see our local culture represented so beautifully on screen. The visual storytelling is complemented by a rousing BGM that intensifies dramatic moments and stays with you long after the credits roll.
Overall, Veera Chandrahasa is a must-watch. It's a perfect mix of history, art, and emotion, and it truly leaves a lasting impression.

A simple story line brought to life with utmost respect, devotion and authenticity. I enjoyed this just as much as I enjoy 'aata' back home. Beautifully done. Absolutely loved it!
All the actors did justice to their roles - especially the character of Dushta Buddhi. What a performance! It was truly heartening to see actors new to this art form deliver such powerful portrayals. I'm eagerly looking forward to the next part. Wishing the entire team the very best!
A small suggestion for the upcoming installment would be to focus on matching the intensity of the dubbed dialogues with the original delivery.
