Les Chevaliers de Guenièvre

I am already absolutely in love with this show, I had seen the posters and the trailer and honestly didn't know what to expect with this but I had seen Dana's work before and expected something absolutely amazing and this definitely was amazing. Things I loved in the pilot episode was one the colour scheme, I don't know but I just loved the whole colour scheme and how it matched the moods of the scenes it was amazing. Secondly I loved the characters especially Guinevere herself! I love her character design and I love the concept of that there is multiple versions of her but this version of her is totally unique and different than the others like she doesn't fit within the usual standard which I absolutely love (she's my favourite now). I also genuinely love the storyline already! Cannot wait to see more of this beautifully animated show.

Based on the pilot alone, the show has a very unique and intriguing story that immediately grabs your attention. The world-building feels fresh and imaginative, setting up plenty of potential for deep character arcs and emotional storytelling. The animation and visuals are absolutely stunning, every frame is so beautiful. If the series continues to maintain this level of quality in both writing and production, it has the potential to become a solid 10/10 show and a standout in modern animation.

Art wise, what this pilot demonstates is superb. I just cant get over how GOOD the backgrounds, designs and characterizations are. The world looks so lived in, something even big studios miss sometimes. Honestly I dont have mich else to comment on, the animation is pure eye candy. If you like quality animation, its reason enough to sit down and watch it.

As far as writing goes, I love it, its great. Out of all of Glitch's shows so far, this is by far the best written pilot. The pace in the beginning is a little fast, but completely understandable as it is a pilot trying to establish itself and its characters. I've seen people say that theyve had a hard time following, but I think part of that is simply the fact that we dont get enough shows like this that make us question and think. Its supposed to confusing!! Its the first episode!! We are meant to be left with questions that make us want more. As far as the profanity, I can see why it may turn some people off, but to me its not at all ecsessive. I know a lot of people who speak like that, it sounds natural, especially for overworked, exaughsted people.

Really, I cannot wait fo see more of this, Ive already bought some merch to support the show!!

Such a promising pilot. The animation is AMAZING (Which, is granted since this is glitch productions) its hard to believe that this was made for a YOUTUBE channel and not a streaming service. It's insane how much Glitch is stepping up their work with every single show they release. I thought they couldn't get much better after the gaslight district, but I was wrong. It even has great pacing, which is an issue that I've had with every other glitch show so far. I truly believe that this deserves a full series, and I highly recommend it.

It's no secret that this show is Dana Terrace's satire of Disney, and indeed the world shown is dystopian. However, it's surprisingly sympathetic to people who idolise Disney and see hope and beauty in it in the form of Frankie, who really reveres Guinevere who in turn remembers her and her friend Andi when they were kids.

The animation is suberb, like an episode of The Owl House, and it's Glitch's triumpant entering into the 2D medium.

A strong recommendation.
