The Fluffy Movie: Unity Through Laughter

Gabriel is a great story teller, with some interesting stories to tell. He's about as family friendly as a good comic can be and seems like a genuinely nice guy with a great air of optimism around him aswell as a talent for voices and sound effects. Since discovering his Netflix shows a couple of years ago, I've now seen half a dozen of his specials and I've found them all very funny. They're not edgey, or offensive. Theres little to no political humour, but honestly I don't miss it as its catered for by lots of other comics out there. What you do get is an honest and amusing evening from a talented comic who knows his audience and consistently gives them what they want. Ofcourse comedy is subjective and he won't be for everyone, but you won't know unless you try, so dive on in.

OMG,I watched this with my husband and laughed so hard! Once again Fluffy hits a home run with his jokes. I like that he is not dirty,really does not use bad language yet can make you laugh so hard you sides hurt. He also looks great since he lost weight.

But Fluffy made this one very real by sharing a lot about his son and father. At points near the end I was almost in tears yet still laughing. Fluffy really made this one a major hit in our home since he really exposed his personal side of course in a funny but real way. I think it was a great comedy special! For any step parent out there you will know what I mean.

I know that Gabriel Iglesias is a very hot comic right now, but I was still surprised that his latest stand-up performance came to the theaters and not to TV or direct to DVD. I didn't go see it in the theaters--mostly because I didn't see the point of watching a stand- up routine in a theater and such a thing could be seen about as well at home.

The film has a prologue with a kid who is supposed to be Gabriel at about age 8. It's kind of cute--but only makes up a few minutes of the film. The rest is his stand-up routine and he talks about a variety of topics such as his weight, his step-son and his relationship with his estranged father. A lot of it is very serious and not funny, though there are plenty of laughs as well. However, I really think his other performances I've seen were funnier--mostly because he told more stories and used more funny voices in those. Here, he's talking much more about life, family relations and being raised without father-- all topics which he jokes about a bit but also with a tough edge of seriousness. It's worth seeing and he is an immensely talented guy but not his best work.

Why is he still popular? How do you build an entire act on other times you've performed... That's just lazy.

I couldn't even make it all the way through.

Fluffy brings the funny better than ever in this one (and that's REALLY saying something).
