Ninja to Koroshiya no Futarigurashi

Satoko Kusagakure is a ninja who fled from her village but has difficulty surviving in the outside world. This is made worse by the fact that other ninjas have been tasked with killing her for leaving. Unlike most ninjas she is relatively unskilled; her only notable skill is the ability to turn inanimate objects into leaves. One day she is saved from an attacker by Konoha Koga, an assassin. She is impressed with Satoko's skill... turning bodies into leaves is a handy way to dispose of a corpse; something very useful in Konoha's line of work. Soon they are working as a team and living together.

I really enjoyed this series; it may feature quite a few deaths but it is still very much a comedy. Our protagonists are likeable as are the various secondary characters. Over the course of the series they get into a number of dangerous situations. I liked the character designs; especially how the series eschewed the cliché ninja look. Overall I'd definitely recommend this to anime fans who want a good laugh and a fun story.

Honestly, I went into it with little to no expectations and BOY OH BOY was I surprised.

The characters are SO unique that you cannot help but feel for them, either like, hate or straight up get infuriated by some of the interactions (in a good way).

They did such an amazing job with this anime that it ended up being on my top 5 of 2025.

Sometimes you just need an anime like this one; an anime that doesn't take itself seriously but also touches very serious topics at the same time. An anime that is every bit of gut wrenching as it is lighthearted at any given moment.

If you haven't watched it, please do. You won't be disappointed!

A Ninja and an Assassin Under One Roof is what happens when a professional assassin picks op a lousy ninja And makes her, her cleaning lady and accomplish in crime.

The ninja and assassin just work of each other very well. There different personality makes so many hilarious and cute moments and to see the cold harder assassin slowly warm op, to this lousy ninja is just oh, it's a Heart warming thing.

You would think this just a slice of live show which it's is. But it goes in so many fun directions and actually has a conclusion in the ending, which is more than I can see for many like slice of live shows.

It is comfy. It is funny. It is very cute, and it has some very dark moments but oh my god. It's a fun time.

The animation looks good, both in action and comedic, it has a good balance some scenes are smooth as butter. The character design is really cute and charming som female characters has the perfect line between sexy and cute. And the ninja designs are really expressive.

I did not think that this premise would work out as well as it did, but it was a big surprise and I would recommend it.

This show looks like cute girls doing cute things, but they are vicious, violent, and there is so much fan service. Satoko Kusagakure is a simple-minded ninja who gets caught up in a group of ninjas deserting together. She's discovered by Konoha Koga, a high school girl who secretly works as an assassin, struggling with a low rank due to her ineptitude at cleaning up crime scenes. Together, Konoha kills countless people without hesitation, including the ninjas trying to capture Satoko, and Satoko turns the evidence into leaves and blows them away. Satoko is constantly needing to be saved by Konoha and others because of her clueless nature. Characters use some profanity and drink alcohol. There is a lot of innuendo, but it is not clever. The show relies on visual fan service, like an episode where Satoko gets giant breasts from the ninja doctor so that she will be able to store assassin tools in her bust. It backfires, and the whole episode is filled with bouncing sounds and bosom framing. All of the growth and self-awareness are spoon-fed thanks to Satoko's obtuse nature. There is no question about the morality of killing for profit, except from maybe the leader of the ninja deserters. Still, it's unclear if she questions the morality of it or the sustainability of it.
