Developer Intense has brought their co-op horror exploration game Underward to the PlayStation 5. Available via the PlayStation Store, Underward originally launch earlier this year on Steam.
Designed for 1 to 4 players, you take on the role of investigators tasked by their organization to locate and retrieve various test subjects sealed in bio-capsules in a procedurally-generated abandoned (or so you thought) underground hospital. By successfully transporting these capsules to elevators and meeting collection quotas, players can advance deeper into the facility. Carrying the capsule creates a lot of noise, attracting enemies, so stay vigilant. Although a single investigator can’t handle the heavy capsule alone, you and your teammates can work to move it faster than the enemies can catch up. Don’t mess up, as one misstep can end the game for everyone.
Of course, you could play Underward solo, but be prepared for the ultra-high-difficulty mode as a result, where...
