Hope

Two men in a church. One is homosexual. The other - only reserved .

Stories of life - especially early years - , the memories about mother, the invitation to see them again, same place, same hour from the first.

And the absence of courage of the first who , front to church, hesites to enter and leave.

The second encounter proposes the answers about motives of this attitude, from the pressure of family about his bisexuality to the attraction for the other.

A story about relation with your sexual orientation, about loneliness and the premises of new friendship. But, more important, a beautiful religious film, reflecting the terms of personal relation with God and the faith as fruit of crisis.

One good point, significant one, the performances.

Well, another one I just switched off after ten minutes. This was so artificial, so boring, so twee that I was actually getting cross with myself for watching it.

The situation just wasn't real and related to nothing in my life or experience.

Lovely seats in the church though! I thought pews were meant to be hard and wooden to concentrate the faithful.

I hate leaving short reviews but there there's little to say about this tosh.

Actually there is something more to say. I have just realised that Kyle Brooks, "starring" in this short, was responsible for the truly dreadful "Once a Year On Blackpool Sands" being transferred from a stage show to film and appeared as a main character there too. That's two utter duds that should have been left on the cutting room floor. Boring, vacuous and empty both.
