Suzanne Kramer ends because of an attempted murder of her husband in the women's prison the Banckert. Suzanne finds herself in a tough and rough world, where two women, Lex and Freddy, to sway the scepter. Suzanne is forced to pick a side, but this is not without great consequences and does she know which side side is the right one?

After Annet's tragic death, Altan threatens Dorien saying that if drugs are found, Kaiya will be taken off her. Suzanne tries to contact Noortje, however Erik keeps picking up and eventually comes to see her. The prisoners try to get information out of Lies, who is working with the officers to discover the identity of Annet's murderer. After threatening to kill Suzanne, Dorien reveals that Kaiya is actually Toni's daughter and her own died after Dorien crashed her car. Rob and Altan have a run in after Altan begins to snort cocaine. Vera finds the governor job harder than she thought and a new governor is appointed: Erica Simons.

Suus gets caught in between rivals, Lex and Freddy. Suus is forced to choose between Lex and Freddy, what has brutal consequences anyway. Suus ends up in the middle of the battle and rightly should choose for themselves. Erika tries to get the support of the jailers, but they are not happy with her choices.

Ronny forces her young daughter, Amy, to smuggle heroin into the prison, but when Amy goes into cardiac arrest, Ronny is harassed by the other women. Dorien and Boomer conspire over home brew that has been fermenting for months. Suus begins to doubt whether she can take on Lex after Lex threatens the life of Noortje. Lies is told that her parole is being looked over and she organizes an afternoon for the ladies to talk about their problems. We discover that Lies is an alcoholic and after drinking all the home brew, she reveals her story - she killed her mother-in-law. Erica and Vera butt heads over the running of the prison. Alan continues his search for Annet's killer and discovers Beer and Annet had a peculiar relationship.

Erica begins to dream about having sex with Freddy and begins to wonder whether her fiancé is really the person she wants to be with. Lies begins drinking methylated spirits and collapses when Dorien puts bleach in it. Dorien is offered the peer worker job after Lies is fired. Suus, Boomer, Freddy and Lies discuss masturbation.

Suus feels threatened when Erik says he may not be able to deal with their daughter any longer. Suus asks Altan for help to contact Noortje. Vera tries to impress Beer but failed, because Vera's mother reveals an embarrassing secret in front of her colleagues.

Erica, Vera, Beer and Altan decide it is time to release Freddy from solitary. Dorien betrays Freddy by siding with Lex but she was actually helping her. Suus - after learning that Lex and her gang are planning on ganging Freddy - confronts Lex and gets beaten up. When Freddy is released, she is threatened, however the tables turn and she slams Lex hand in an exercise machine. Altan - who is using drugs frequently - discovers that while he and Annet were trying for a baby, Annet did fall pregnant and three weeks before she died, had an abortion. Vera and Beer's romance intensifies.

Three weeks after being attacked, Suus is in her element. Erica is wary that the rivalry for top dog now consists of Freddy, Lex and Suus. Lex is told that she should go into protection for the rest of her stay but refuses. Altan is blackmailed by Lex as she has photos of him with a drug dealer. Vera brings arthritis painkillers into the prison for Lex after it is revealed Vera began the riot that killed Annet by telling Lex to start it. As Suus tries to get hold of her daughter, Noortje, Lex' son Dylan gets her hooked on heroin. Lex tells Dylan to end things with Noortje and he tells her that it is the last thing he ever does for her. Dylan injects Nortje with heroin, causing her to overdose and die.

After Suus is informed of Noortje's death, she - along with Lies and Dorien - has to argue with Erica about whether she can go to her daughter's funeral or not. After being told she can go, Suus is left heartbroken when permission is revoked and she tries to hang herself.

It finally becomes clear who committed the murder of Annet . Suus confronts the killer of Noor, which has dangerous consequences for her.
