A solid effort.

This is actually a very solid, if uneven at times, effort. The acting is mostly fine, and the story does not drag itself for too long despite lasting 100 minutes. It's also intense enough to not be boring.

There are definitely some creepy scenes here, and the atmosphere is mostly top notch, but I do believe that first 60 minutes were stronger than the final part.

At some point, characters make some stupid decisions here and there, which do feel out of place, but I've seen worse. It's because of this, however, that I cannot rate it higher.

New homeowners beware

I'm not going to say that if you don't have your locks re-keyed immediately after moving into your new house that you deserve bad things to happen to you. I'm not saying that at all. But it is literally the smallest effort you can make to prevent something very preventable and bad from happening to you. So get your locks re-keyed. Your realtor will probably tell you to do it. If they don't, knock a star or two off your yelp review.
