Leaving the theater,
I felt a profound sense of awe. This wasn't just entertainment; it was an immersive cinematic experience.
While modern cinema offers a dizzying array of choices, this film stands apart. It's a rare gem, a story that resonated deeply and left me pondering long after the credits rolled.
The performances were nothing short of extraordinary. Each actor brought a nuanced depth to their character, but
Tarjanee's portrayal was truly unforgettable. Her raw emotion and vulnerability were both captivating and heartbreaking, leaving an indelible mark on my soul.
This film is a testament to the power of storytelling. It's a must-see for anyone who appreciates artistry, emotional depth, and the magic of cinema.

This wasn't just a movie; it was a delightful escape!
It was filled with heartwarming moments that made me smile from ear to ear.
The story was engaging, the humour was witty, and the overall tone was incredibly uplifting .
The entire cast delivered fantastic performances, bringing the characters to life with vibrant energy and genuine affection.
But it was Tarjanee who truly stole the show. Her performance was a standout - she was both charming and incredibly touching, capturing the essence of her character with remarkable sensitivity.
I found myself wondering what it would be like to experience the world through her eyes, to feel the depth of her emotions, and to share in her journey of self-discovery.
This is a feel-good film that the whole family will enjoy. It's a reminder that life is full of simple joys and precious connections, and that laughter and love can brighten even the darkest of days.

Script is very intelligent. True or fantacy just put aside and very rightly good humor, very intellegently some pieces handled... What Gujju seemingly may appear comic but really extremely family bound and cares the family. Though single parent hood, parenting, selfish angle of younger generation not seeing the true family values but getting selfish caretaker role emotionally exploit,,,, all these without indulging boring melodramma just tender enough to touch so many subjects.... Children planning oldage hood with lot of sincerity and the so called dumb and silent careing ladies of the family wins heart by script, played by Vandna. Acting and Direction. This role is so nicely crafted and performed with ease... What is personal wish at all?! Is there a things like that ? I never had a chance being busy in family, kind character SriDevi did in English Vinglish. Superbly done. When partner is seperated by death, distance, divorce, drinks the sincere parent takes lot of pain. Such people are made to tour London. Nice photography. Smart termination of topic as he has 7 main characters to share! Done nicely without stretching in updesh... Some very high class moments equally handled well. Kajal OV did exactly a learned woman self made woman would do nicely effactively. Sas Bahut anti climax!? Daughter in law from Saurashtra slang is caring for her Sasu! Equally well done like remainings too.
"Umbarro" is a delightful cinematic experience directed by the talented Abhishek Shah, who previously won a National Award for his film "Hellaro." This movie is a perfect blend of humor, emotion, and a powerful message.
The story follows seven women from rural Gujarat as they embark on their first international trip to London. The film beautifully captures their journey, filled with cultural clashes, language barriers, and societal stigmas. The direction is superb, with Shah nailing every aspect of the story, from the music to the action and comic timing.
The performances are top-notch, with standout roles by Tarjanee Bhadla, Karan Bhanushali, and Miguel Andrew Fish. Each character brings something unique to the table, making the film engaging and relatable.
The message of the film is both inspiring and thought-provoking, encouraging viewers to break free from their inhibitions and claim their space in the world. Overall, "Umbarro" is a must-watch for anyone looking for a feel-good movie with a strong narrative and excellent performances.

The Gujarati film Umbarro generated immense excitement as a landmark project, uniting major female stars from the industry for the first time. Coming from the creators of the acclaimed, National Award-winning Hellaro, expectations were sky-high. Unfortunately, Umbarro falls short of its ambitious promise, resulting in a narrative that feels more like a squandered opportunity than a cinematic triumph.
The plot centers on seven women who, having never ventured beyond their hometown, embark on a bold group trip to London. This premise brims with potential, setting the stage for a vibrant exploration of self-discovery, cultural contrasts, and women defying societal constraints. As they grapple with practical challenges like currency exchanges and language barriers, alongside deeper cultural adjustments, the film aims to depict their bold quest for independence and identity.
Yet, Umbarro falters where it should shine. The story is bogged down by clichés and exaggerated drama, replacing nuanced characters with loud, one-dimensional stereotypes that fail to enrich the narrative. Opportunities for genuine humor and emotional depth are drowned out, reducing the women to caricatures in a formulaic plot. Instead of crafting an authentic, engaging story, the film leans on predictable tropes that lack originality.
In the end, Umbarro disappoints despite its stellar cast and promising concept. It's a textbook case of a film with all the right pieces that, due to weak execution, fails to deliver, leaving audiences with a lingering sense of unmet potential.
