Avis à la une
Aladdin 3477 is a joyful surprise-an indie sci-fi fantasy that's bursting with style, charm, and ambition. Matt Busch's worldbuilding is absolutely incredible. Every frame is packed with visual detail, from futuristic marketplaces to unique costume design, creating a setting that feels lived-in and expansive despite the film's modest scale.
For a small production, the film punches well above its weight. There's a clear love for storytelling in every scene, and it's just plain fun to watch. One of the standout highlights is Brej, a character who brings heart, humor, and unexpected depth to the screen. The performances and design around Brej really capture what makes this film special-originality and care.
If you're into indie films, retro-futurist aesthetics, or simply want something that doesn't look like everything else out there, Aladdin 3477 is absolutely worth your time. It's clear the team had a blast making it, and that energy translates beautifully to the screen.

I backed this movie on Kickstarter...The slightly star warish looking movie is set in the future by producer/director/etc Matt Bush and will be released in three parts (we hope). The geography is a little different...The United States of China is mentioned...There is a floating vertical looking capitol city which roams the sky in asia and possibly other places. Aladdin (Erik Steele), our main hero is a youngish scrappy thief who has lots of friends and enemies that all love to fight but death is a rare event. He has a small open sky ship which looks like a surfboard on a rack in flight like a sail. And of course he has a short flying/floating ornage/white boombox headed droid called Fidgi with whom he works on projects for the happiness of both of them. He has a young, secretive, female assasian trained "sidekick" Oomi (Lin Zy) who lurks around and watches over him. He dreams of Princess Kamala (Christi Perovski) of course...but when using a high tech frame which allows him to see thru walls and watches her bathing, he won't let a buddy release it to the net, forgoing a lot of cred and possibly credits while showing his character where most thieves have few scruples.
Jinn: "Aladdin, The Past predicts the future only to those who cannot change it." Aladdin: ".....I want to be king..." Jinn: "Is that your wish?" Aladdin: "I don't believe in wishes..." There is something fun for everyone!
