Rise of OnlyFans is an eye-opening documentary that delivers a compelling look at the cultural phenomenon surrounding the platform. The cast truly shines, offering candid and raw insights into their personal journeys, struggles, and triumphs. Kudos to producer Giancarlo Mirabella for orchestrating such a well-rounded and thought-provoking narrative. A lost opportunity to provide an insight into the views of the content creators on Only Fans. Most of which provide some intriguing views.
Liked Nicole Doshi, who has some interesting comments and comes across well. Would have liked more people interviewed that were closer to the source material.
Unfortunately, the documentary is filled with stock video that it makes it essentially unwatchable. It's is much worse the most YouTube videos that are posted.
If you do want to listen to some of the people interviewed, best way to tolerate the content is to listen to the audio with the video off..

Before watching The Rise of OnlyFans, I knew almost nothing about the platform beyond its reputation as a subscription-based content site. What I expected was a surface-level look at its popularity-what I got was an eye-opening documentary that explored its rise, cultural significance, and the real experiences of those who use it.
This film doesn't just focus on the financial success stories; it delves into the lives of creators, the power dynamics at play, and the unexpected ways OnlyFans has reshaped digital entrepreneurship. It examines the social stigma, the changing landscape of content creation, and the challenges that come with building an online brand in such a unique space.

This is a puff piece promo not a documentary. Just a bunch of OF stars talking about how great OF is/was.
First off I am completely uninterested in the producers on OF. I was hoping for a behind the scenes look at the mechanics, customer exploitation and some stories about the support staff for these "content producers". I was hoping for more of the business side, there was some but it was mostly anecdotal with no interviews other than the OF stars.
Absolutely nothing about the consumers, other than some pundits vaguely talking collectively about them. There is nothing about the psychology, motivations, or dangers to/from the consumers.
1/2 of the movie revolves around the porn industry, and how difficult it is to make money in that industry and how they make more money on OF.
