Warum Siegfried Teitelbaum sterben musste

By accident I had the chance to watch this unique and absurd thriller at a german movie theater. I was surprised. Even for genre-fans this film offers an irritating, almost surreal story with a surprising end. Same time it is also a funny homage to all thriller and spy movies. Something new from german soil.

This is a fun movie that always keeps you guessing! I really like the absurd twist they brought to the gangster genre. Something you could definitely watch again - unique, entertaining, and unexpected. Really well done!

...A joy of playing, great pictures and great attention to detail. Add to that...a wonderful Michael Mendl (one of Germay´s great charactor actors), whom you have probably never seen as a singer in a wicked bar.

This comedic crime thriller had me hooked from the opening scene. We always see hitmen from purely serious angle. Teitelbaum really changes that up in a refreshing way. Director Axel Steinmüller has really made a mark with this film. I can't wait to see what he does next!

This film is quite the ride. A mystery with assassins vs rival assassins, cops, investigators, espionage, peanut butter... With its Tarantino-esque fractured timeline and its central 'Usual Suspects' style mystery, this film has so many layers that you'll need to follow closely to keep up, but it's worth it. The style is energetic, and it has lashings of humor, plus a few cinematic homages to watch out for. The only weakness is some of the gunfight action is a little hard to follow, and of course if you're not a German speaker you'll need the subtitles. Recommended!
