An Entertaining Edification On Politics

Your Vote Matters was very effective in educating the audience about the intricacies of entering into politics and did so using levity in a very entertaining way. The film brings to the forefront the importance of having realistic goals to accomplish, strong convictions and a solid administration to bolster the task. No candidate has garnered their position without support from their constituents and their political party. It takes ridiculous amounts of money to get there and, often times, to the point of the obscene. On the flip side, if you are not running for any political position, knowing who you are voting for and why, requires doing your homework to be clear you are not putting someone into office that is actually implementing laws that work against you. One must be on guard for all manner of sophistry and quid pro quos. There is a lot that happens behind the scenes and much of it and its rational is, speaking euphemistically, beyond distasteful. Your Vote Matters is an important film, because of its contemporaneous theme and a great tool for educating young, impressionable minds in high schools. I look forward to seeing it again to let those lessons really sink in - so the film is great for adults too by galvanizing and anchoring their vote. :)

Inspiring

Your Vote Matters is an incredibly engaging and insightful film, brought to life by an exceptional performance from Lauren Elizabeth Harris. Harris delivers a standout portrayal of a character navigating the complexities and flaws of the political system with a perfect blend of humor, humility, and determination. She brilliantly balances moments of levity with the serious undertones of the story, making it not only a compelling narrative but a deeply relatable one.

What stands out most is how Harris brings authenticity to the role, showing that even in the ugly, often frustrating world of politics, change is possible-one vote, one voice at a time. Her character's journey is inspiring, proving that the smallest actions in your own community can lead to ripple effects in the larger political landscape.

The fashion throughout the film is also worth noting. It's not just a stylistic choice, but a thoughtful part of the character's development. The wardrobe reinforces the idea of personal identity within the public sphere, highlighting how appearances can influence perceptions in the political world.

Director and writer David Chai excels at blending biting social commentary with entertainment. He crafts a film that is not only a reflection of the current political climate but also an invitation to think critically about how we engage with the system. By addressing its flaws without getting preachy, Chai opens up a conversation about the ways we can all make a difference-starting at the local level.

If you're looking for a film that combines humor, style, and thought-provoking political insights, Your Vote Matters is a must-watch. It's both a call to action and a celebration of the power of individual voices in shaping the world around us. Lauren Elizabeth Harris Stuns as Anna Summers

Legally Blonde (actually Politically Auburn) goes to the polls as a third-party candidate. Lauren Elizabeth Harris does an excellent job of entertaining and educating the audience on how political campaigns really work and the importance of voting in a most delightful and amusing way. This film is a great way to learn about our political system without the divisiveness and pain of our actual political party system. If only this was required viewing for all high school seniors and voters. If you liked Legally Blonde, as I did, you will really enjoy this film. The comedic element that Lauren Elizabeth Harris brings makes it so that this film should be added to Reese Witherspoon's collection of Legally Bold and Talented Women!
