This is a snooze fest. Literally NOTHING happens, you keep waiting on the action/any semblance of a plot to actually begin, but it never does.
I'm presuming the "based on a true story" is when a woman once called the police because she heard a weird noise in her attic. Yep, that's about the sum of this piece of nonsense.
The annoying music all the way through doesn't help, and the acting is drama school bad. The whiny voice of the female lead character made me want to murder her myself.
ZERO plot, zero characterisation, zero scares, zero story.
Do yourself a favour and skip this bore fest.

I caught The House on Laura Anne Dr. This past weekend, and I have to say-it surprised me. On the surface, it's a familiar setup: a young couple moves into a new house in Florida hoping for a fresh start. But instead of leaning on cliché jump scares, the film takes its time, letting the tension build through unsettling details and the couple's growing unease.
What worked best for me was the atmosphere. The house itself almost feels like a character-quiet, heavy, and waiting to reveal something you don't want to see. The story kept me guessing about what was really going on, and even with its indie budget, the filmmakers knew how to get under my skin without overdoing it.
Of course, there are a few rough edges here and there, but the suspense carried me through. By the end, I was genuinely tense, which isn't something I can say about a lot of horror films lately.
Overall, watching The House on Laura Anne Dr. Felt like stumbling on a hidden gem: it's not flashy, but it delivers on atmosphere, tension, and a creeping sense of dread that stays with you after the credits roll. Definitely worth a watch if you're into indie horror.

The House on Laura Anne Dr. Is an ambitious indie thriller that has some genuinely tense and engaging moments, but also stumbles in its execution. The premise - a couple moving into a new home only to find something sinister lurking - is familiar, yet the filmmakers manage to create a few surprising twists that keep you watching. The low-budget production is noticeable in places, with uneven pacing and some stiff performances, but there are also creative choices in lighting and music that add to the unsettling atmosphere.
Overall, it's not a flawless film, but it shows what can be done with limited resources and plenty of imagination. If you can look past the rough edges, there's enough suspense and originality here to make it worth a late-night watch.

This film may have gotten some harsh reviews, but honestly, it's far more entertaining than expected. A young couple moving to Florida for a fresh start is a familiar setup, but the story takes plenty of unexpected turns that keep you hooked. The plot twists come one after another, and while it's a low-budget production, the filmmakers make the most of what they had-delivering tense moments, clever direction, and a surprisingly engaging narrative.
If you go in looking for a polished Hollywood thriller, you'll spot the rough edges. But if you just want a suspenseful, twisty story that keeps you guessing, this movie absolutely delivers. Considering the budget, the cast and crew did a solid job, and it's worth a watch for fans of indie thrillers.

This is an enjoyable, if low-budget, thriller. It should be watched by every aspiring filmmaker, because it demonstrates how to create interesting characters, tension, and how to direct scenes for maximum effect, using music appropriately, to create a tense, thrilling narrative--on a very low budget. The story is about a man who buys a house as a surprise for him and his wife, after he lands a job transfer to Florida. The couple have had some past trauma, and so the entire "going to a new house to start over" plot is fairly standard. However, weird things start happening in the house, esp. To the wife, who's there all day as the husband is out working. The pacing and climax are pretty perfect. Due to the "essentials only" direction, along with decent dialog and credible scenes, the movie winds up being quite an original story. There were a few minor quibbles that reveal the low budget (such as not showing the movers, the truck, or the cop car), but they were very minor. The acting by the two protagonists was quite good and credible, as was the nice neighbor lady. The music was a bit too intrusive about two times, but that's it. Pleasantly surprised by this low-budget indie thriller!
