Avis à la une
Rebecca Dalton has had at least one real bomb but also a couple I enjoyed. Her appearance makes me think she is a model, but I can't find that in her bio. For me she is strikingly beautiful. I won't say that she is a great actress. Marcus Rosner is a veteran for Hallmark, but I have never thought he stood out.
Put them together in a movie that follows the usual lines and you get a middle of the road product which some will love and others not so much.
I will say the snowflake angle is a new one. I looked it up and found one article saying there are at least 30 types. Hmm.
The writers try to liven the story by having another photographer compete with Teagan to have an entry in the auction that one benefactor has already promised big bucks for if the lot includes that rare 12 sided snowflake. This might have added to the story if the competitor hadn't been so obviously inept. Her shady side must have been the intended hook, but just irritated me.

Yes, as many reviewers have noted, there is fake snow, a lot of it. However, it does land in the competing photographers hair as she's taking pictures.
I'm about halfway through the movie and purely from an entertainment angle, I'm enjoying it. Being in the south, I love seeing the snow, even if it's not real.
Rebecca Dalton is relatively new to me and the jury is still out on her abilities as a Hallmark actress. This is just an aside, but who on earth travels into a snow storm and packs sleeveless blouses? Marcus Rosner however has always been one of my favorite Hallmark actors. Julie, the daughter, seems much older than I would have thought and the friend looks familiar but I can't place her. The carolers were actually pretty good as well.
Again, currently at 3/4 through and still really enjoying the movie.

Yes, your typical Hallmark a couple gets caught in a snowstorm plot. But the twist is a photographer is given the task to get a photo of a rare 12 sided snowflake in order for an art collector to purchase her work, which is a tidy sum that will help the community. Actor Marcus Rosner plays Noah, a friend from her childhood, who helps her on her mission. Marcus Rosner is hot, hot, hot, I'll watch any movie he's in. Rebecca Dalton is Tegan, the photographer. There is good chemistry between the two leads. People complain about the shoddy special effects regarding the snowstorm, come on folks, this is a simple Hallmark movie. Give this movie some grace its a sweet enjoyable romcom, better than most Hallmark movies..
Hallmark movies of where two people get trap in a snowstorm where it always to be only two good looking people who are full of stereotypes. It's predictable and you know they will fall in love because it's a Hallmark movie, they have to fall in love or it's not a hallmark movie. You can help to roll your eyes on how they don't seem to like each other to only to started to like each other toward the end of the movie. Hallmark loves to make these predictable characters and movies on Christmas because they have certain audience who can't get enough of them. All Hallmark has to do is change the actors and actresses and mess around with the plot.
Like in many other cases , the first temptation is to be ironic about this type of film. Sure, all is predictable and the acting is pretty decent and the snowflakes photos are just beautiful. But the portrait of rival, the girl and the snowstorm are not the most inspired ingredients.
So, for me the film is saved by supporting actors, especially John Nightingale and his costume, his carols band and , not last, the house of Wayne.
Sure, not high expectations but few charming scenes and the romance who, finally you must accept this, is the only matter thing.
So, the perfect snowflake story . And the generosity of a rich man as kick for seductive, agitated and succesful love story after some...adventures.

- AnecdotesIf only using a macro lens for extreme close ups were so easy. Depth of field gets so shallow that using mechanical support is necessary to achieve a stable focus.
- GaffesAbout 25% through the movie, Susanne comes around the wall in the art gallery, and she says to Charlotte, "It's beginning to look a BIT like Christmas!" But watch her mouth, and you'll see her say "LOT" rather than "BIT -- "It's beginning to look at LOT like Christmas!" (the song title). Perhaps this was changed during the film's editing because it might violate a song copyright.
