Chun Hua Yan

This epic concerns the love affair of Mei-lin and Jinghe - she starts off as an assassin who - incidentally can fly - and he is the supposedly crippled wrongfully accused mass murderer son of the emperor whose evil and scheming "brother" has been chosen to be the Crown Prince in his place. At 32 episodes the series has no choice but to repeat incidents over and over again in an endless recycling of scheming, twenty minute battles, misunderstandings and thwarted love. There is a woman who dresses as a man - General Yin - she starts off being obsessed with Jinghe - much to the chagrin of the C. P. who idolises her - but somehow - with no explanation - her feelings are suddenly transferred to the C. P. There is a love rival for Jinghe of course in the shape of a neighbouring prince whose sister is the concubine of the emperor - and their battle for Mei -lin continues throughout the series. There is the ongoing threat of Mei-lin's chances of surviving being poisoned - and constant instances of both Mei-:Lin and Jinghe being at deaths door. Other observations fall on the dreadful wigs and obvious false eyelashes of both the males and females.

The makers of this series should keep in mind that viewers don't like investing hours of their time for endings like this.

All in all - too long - too repetitive which made it too boring.

Both Liu Xue Yi and Wu Jin Yuan have shown a strong characters in this movie, a very good match.

Political family issue in a big kingdom always be a good topic plus some romance in it. The movie combines both issue and romance in a very good way. Big applause for it.

What you did in the past will effect what you will get in the future. Eventhough it has a hard ending but it makes people who watch it learn that karma is real.

I personally recommend this movie as I watched it for more than 2x. Very like the story, the actor and actress, the characters and the combination of music/sound. They did a great job!

Overall, I usually appreciate slow-motion cut scenes; however, when they occur too frequently, they lose their impact and make the media difficult to watch. The action sequences are poorly choreographed, appearing unrealistic, as if the characters are being pulled by wires. Additionally, there is a lack of chemistry between the protagonist and the love interest.

Although "Kill Me, Love Me" had the potential to be enjoyable, it ultimately fell short. The storyline, while initially intriguing, meandered without a clear direction, leaving viewers feeling disconnected from the characters' journeys. The dialogue often felt forced, lacking the natural flow that makes interactions believable and engaging. Despite the film's promising premise, its execution left much to be desired.

On a positive note, the cinematography was visually striking at times, with some beautifully framed shots that captured the mood effectively. The musical score also deserves mention for its emotive composition, adding depth to certain scenes and enhancing the atmosphere.

With more attention to character development and a tighter narrative structure, "Kill Me, Love Me" could have been a memorable experience. As it stands, it serves as a reminder of the importance of balance and coherence in storytelling to truly captivate an audience.

I love this melodrama and suggest that anyone who wants to watch it do so without reservation. I have watched this series several times on this platform and on other platforms and have reached the same conclusion: It is a well written romantic story.

The love story between the two main characters was sensitively and realistically portrayed by two veteran actors: Jinyan Wu and Xuxiye Liu. The fact that he was a warring general was secondary to their love story. They were enemies who would become selfless friends, confidants and finally lovers. I cried many times throughout the series and do not doubt that several of you will do the same. Their love was idealistic, but very touching. Women wish for a man who would love them as the prince loved his woman. This series had Eternal Love vibes and thus was, in my opinion, a beautiful drama.

Kudos to everyone involved in this great production. My recommendation: Watch for yourself and draw your own conclusions; I will definitely watch it again.
