Yikes

I've seen a ton of Tubi movies so I didn't think it could be THAT bad, but man, they proved me wrong. It's so unbelievably cheesy. Whoever filmed it has no clue how to shoot good angles, so they repeat the same angles for longer scenes because it's the only one they know. The way the "bad guys" act is so terribly corny, it feels like this script was written by a middle-schooler. Truly. Just everything about this movie is bad. The flashes, transitions, music, camera angles, acting, script. I don't think I can even finish this. I can't believe they made this movie as long as they did. Wouldn't recommend this unless you're inebriated.

Don't waste your time!

This is one of the worst films I've seen in a long time, the script is not well written and the acting is pretty awful all the way through, especially the main character, she's definitely bought her way into this film (she also one of the 'producers') as NO casting director would have chosen her as the main star. She can't take all the blame though, the script makes it hard for the actors not to come across as awkward or odd, making them basically narrate everything as they're doing it. The music is in the wrong places. All in all jus a bad film. Ive seen children make better movies than this. Disappointing is an understatement.

So, SO, SOOOOO BAD

Every single aspect of this, from this acting to the lighting, is nearly incoherent - or so blatantly obvious it's like watching a 5th grader with a little too much money make a film. Not enough to make a 'good' film even by accident, just enough to make everything polished enough to make the technical inadequacies - which range from cinematography to editing to some of the worst acting and screenwriting I've seen in ages - look all that much worse. The plot, such as it is, is nothing but badly cut-together scene from old thrillers - pretty much any one of which outdoes this flimsy afterschool project by a mile.

Save yourself some time and watch grass grow.

An unrecognized gem

This movie is an unrecognized gem away from the beaten paths. Far from being a bungled production, it is a meticulously crafted work of art. The mistake is to compare it with standard Hollywood stereotypes. It stands as a genre of its own, from the dramatic storyline, through the studied pacing, to the forceful delivery. To give it a genre heading anyway, it could best be described as a combination of stage drama, film noir, and slasher. It is mostly unaccompanied with music throughout the deliberate slow pacing of the drama, introducing chosen pieces of music only at key moments to overwhelming effect. The rest of the time, background sounds amplify the effect of the film's relative silence. The actor's lines are mostly delivered in a studied wooden manner, with stunning effect. Displays of emotion are again reserved for key moments, with corresponding effect. And by the way, the film delivers perfect suspense throughout - a feat not often equaled in corresponding drama and slasher movies, noir or not. It is an a captivating and alternative way of telling a dark and brutal story, far from Hollywood's beaten and often boring paths. A word of explanation on my ratings: films are either mediocre (1 to 3 stars), average (4 to 6 stars) or good (7 to 9 stars). 10 stars are reserved for perfection. This one deserves at least an 8.
