Game Seven is far more than just a sports show - it's an electrifying exploration of ambition, rivalry, sacrifice, and redemption. From the very first episode, I was hooked. The storyline follows the intense journey of athletes, each with their unique struggles and dreams, as they push themselves to the limits in pursuit of victory. The stakes couldn't feel higher, and the series does an incredible job building suspense and emotional tension that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
What truly sets Game Seven apart is the depth of its characters. Rather than relying solely on sports action, the show dives deep into the personal lives of these athletes, coaches, and families, giving viewers a look at the raw emotions that accompany the highs and lows of their world. The writing is sharp, with dialogue that feels authentic and scenes that reveal the vulnerable sides of characters, making them both relatable and unforgettable.
The cinematography and soundtrack are also impressive, adding layers of intensity to every crucial play and quiet moment alike. It's clear that a lot of effort went into making the show look and feel real, from the sports scenes to the intricate relationships that unfold. Each episode builds towards a powerful climax that left me emotionally invested and eagerly awaiting what would happen next.
Game Seven is a must-watch whether you're a die-hard sports fan or just someone who loves a well-crafted drama. It's exciting, heartfelt, and inspiring, hitting all the marks of a great sports story while delivering much more. This is easily one of the best shows of the year on Amazon Prime, and I highly recommend it!

Even as a non-diehard sports fan, I felt the emotions of all of these people. The way that they tied the emotional component to the actual sport was incredible.
You get to feel the high highs and the low lows. This series does not disappoint and I found myself wanting more. The series was very well directed, and whoever was asking all of the questions did an amazing job drawing out real emotions from these grown men.
The interviews were perfect length and the way that they tied it all together was amazing. Hyper focused on one game 7 but really drew in all of the context that each game 7 was in. They also picked incredible game 7s.

As a 4th generation die-hard Cubs fan nothing will ever be able to capture the feelings I had on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2016. However, episode 4 of this series came close. Watching it made me cry all over again. My grandma never got to see the Cubs win a World Series but I know she was watching and celebrating from above that night. Cubs fans are some of the most loyal fans in sports and we will forever be grateful to that team for giving us our dream come true. We show it by giving every single one of those guys a standing ovation every time they come back to play at Wrigley Field. It doesn't matter how many years it's been since they played for the Cubs. They will always be legends in the city of Chicago.
My one criticism is that they didn't talk about Kyle Schwarber's comeback story that year. He blew out his knee in the 3rd game of the season. He missed the entire season and post season. But he came back to play in the World Series as a designated hitter. He got on base and started the 10th inning rally that won the cubs the World Series.

Cannot recommend this series enough. In a landscape with a lot of high quality sports content across platforms in recent years this really stands out and is far and away my favorite of the bunch. Extremely well produced, and fantastic access to the athletes on both the winning and losing sides. Really keeps you on the edge of your seat despite already knowing the outcome of the game, as each episode covers so much more than just a number on a scoreboard. Would recommend all of these regardless of your interest in a specific sport, I'm not a huge baseball fan but was captivated by both the Cubs and Yankees episodes. Already looking forward to whatever this group puts out next. 10/10.
Best two words in sports... game seven. Great concept for a sports doc series and really well executed. Loved getting an inside look from some people involved that haven't spoken too much about the events publicly. As a hockey fan, both hockey episodes were super enjoyable and nostalgic. Some of the most historic events in the sport. It was interesting to see how they mixed clips that I used to watch on old VHS tapes as a kid with interviews from today. Loved how they incorporated the footage from "boys on the bus" and the interviews with the creators too. Really hoping for another season of these!
