Avis à la une
Vishesham takes us on a very less-talked about journey of life-after-marriage. The film shines in its simple and straightforward story-telling and very well-developed characters.
Anand, although a first-time actor has a natural aura around him that shines throughout the movie. Chinnu, as always delivers a phenomenal performance. You keep watching them both with awe. Both their performances capture the essence of their character, that many of us can surely connect with.
The movie talks about the struggles and pain a couple might go through. And especially the emotional-connect that they have (or should have) to overcome these in life. The need for family and the strength one pulls from family-members and friends is also portrayed nicely.
Overall, Vishesham is a very feel-good film that will stay with you long after the credits roll. With a lot of humour and true-to-life story-telling, it connects the right dots all the way to the end.

Vishesham is a simple and average movie. The plot that deals with second marriage and pregnancy issues is pertinent and at times engaging. The main drawback of this movie was the male lead, his acting works for the initial bits to show vulnerability, but as soon as emotions kick in, his acting is really poor. This becomes even more apparent next to the female lead, who is really good and believable, and the male lead in those parts struggle. Besides that the other characters don't really get a chance to contribute as their arcs are poorly written and embedded into the movie. All in all, a decent subject, poorly acted and conceived in a pretty average way.
Oh my God - who is Anand Madhusoodanan and where was he hiding all these while. Just 5 min into the movie I was stunned with how likeable he was and how well he was acting. As the movie ended about 2 hours later I couldn't forget him. Rarely have I been so impressed with a performance by an unknown actor.
This is a wonderful plot and a very well made movie. Chinnu is exemplary in her role. Anand and Chinnu have 90% of the screen time and it's a pleasure to watch them emote.
The direction and writing is such that every actor excels and you just get the feel good vibe throughout. Althaf is as funny as ever, Ann Jameela is excellent in her short presence, Baiju is unbelievably cute, Parvathi stuns in her role - well everyone shines.
This is a MUST WATCH movie for all the right reasons.

Just like the title "vishesham", the film is also a good vishesham to the Malayalam movie industry. With less familiar faces playing the major roles , the movie points out the marital problems that the society is facing.
The Filmmakers have done an excellent job by keeping the story line simple and convincing. Every Actors in the movie have done their best work.
What made me like the film was there were no unnecessary scenes, songs or comedy to make the film more appealing. Every scene in this movie was made with realism and natural emotions .
As an enjoyer of the malayalam movie industry , i say that this movie can be said as an example of good new Gen cinema.
