Hey. This is a former voice actor for this series talking here. I've noticed that negative reviews left by other former cast members seem to be being taken down, but all we've been trying to do is to warn potential future cast about what they're getting into...
The Cyclist is, well, the plot is very convoluted. It's quite difficult to tell who is talking as the voice actors are constantly changing and the mouths of the characters do not open.
But what I'm really here to talk about is something that I find personally quite concerning. Firstly, you need to understand that The Cyclist is a series acted by mostly minors. Recently I know the creator has been making an effort to try to involve more adults, but there are still a lot of minors in the cast.
That being said, it is made apparent in this series that an 18-year-old character may be crushing on a 12-year-old character, which is just... uh... yeah. The creator has asserted that this was intended as a joke, however, I encourage you to look up the The Cyclist wiki (which is created and maintained by the creator), and you will see that it is listed under "serious ships" on the "existing ships" page. I will not say which characters for spoiler reasons, but personally the fact that people as young as eleven years old are working with a director who sees no issue with this being an element in her plot is quite concerning to me.
Thank you for your time in reading this.

I absolutely love this show and everything about it. It makes me laugh, cry, shout, EVERYTHING! It's amazing, from the GT episodes, to inside jokes to the actual story, it has it all. I'm definitely not biased whatsoever as the ex-voice actor for Freddie. Even behind the scenes, I couldn't have asked for a more brilliant director. I love everything about the show. I am going to watch every single episode and special which releases in the future. Every episode keeps me on the edge of the seat for more. Also very proud of Freddie for passing his drivers test hehehehe. That little duckling deserves his drivers license.
Jess, you can't keep removing reviews just because they're negative and you don't like them. Take the critics and move on like an adult.
Anywho, The Cyclist is one of my least favorite series out there: it is repetitive, boring, and the writing is not thoroughly edited/developed enough for me to enjoy it. Since the first episode, neither the writing nor the "animation" has improved in any way, which is disappointing to say the least. Because the movement in scenes is limited to...none at all (and likely due to less than adequate editing), it is tricky to figure out which character is which and who is speaking, which contributes to the general lackluster and amateur feel of the show. There are far too many plotlines going on at once for The Cyclist to make sense and I feel like it would fare better as an audiobook anthology or just with less characters involved. If I was ten or younger, I might enjoy it, but I also feel as if it is too violent for that age group. It's like the creator couldn't determine which age group to target and came out with something odd, but that could just be my perception.
Overall, I'm not a fan of the show and wish it was more neat/planned out.

Three years ago, I auditioned for this series. It was absolutely horrendous. But that's not what I'm going to talk about.
The Cyclist... It's a wrap. I found that the early episodes were a bit "meh," but later on, the script started getting better, and the characters became more developed. That doesn't stop me from offering some criticism, though.
First of all, it's not always clear who's talking (as previous reviews have already noted). Often, when watching the series, I have to guess who's speaking. For someone watching The Cyclist for the first time, this can be quite annoying and may throw them off. Providing subtitles would be helpful.
Secondly, I think the graphics could be better. Not the series itself, but things like posters, thumbnails, etc. They don't look very professional, in my opinion.
My third and final issue with this series is the plot. There are many plots and subplots, which can be very fun, but with The Cyclist, it doesn't do any justice. With over 50+ characters, it can become quite annoying to keep up with everyone. In a soap opera, this might have been okay, but in a thriller/drama/whatever this series is, it just becomes boring.
Nevertheless, this isn't bad, but it could definitely be better.

I loved this so much I started watching all the way back in season 1 on Scratch and I imminently fell in love!!! It was the best series on the platform!! I started VA and decided to audition and became CeCe for a while. Even when I had to step down, I continued to watch the show and still do!! Its inspiring that someone could have that much f a commitment to a series!! I applaud the director, the voice acting, and everyone that made this amazing series. Keep going jess your a star!!!! I know that everyone in this series will go far in life and I can't wait to watch the process continue to grow!!
