Interlopers

What a fantastic thought provoking movie. Initially i wondered whether to stop, the opening scene was a little boring. Clearly low budget. Acting not the best. But I was intrigued. I persevered and quite soon it really made an impact. I really liked where the story went in act 3. Total surprise and welcome revelation. I'm so pleased I watched it for the second half of act 3.

I'm a big zombie fan. Not quite zombies as you know them but still similar. Very 28 Days Later vibe to it.

This movie really made a massive impact on me by the end and I'm very pleased I watched it. Honestly where the story went was amazing.

Thoroughly engaging film that take an unconventional approach to post apocalyptic Zombie tropes.

While some may find the lack of complex effects and big post production budgets a negative, those who find quality more in a story that builds and twists will thoroughly enjoy this.

Well shot and broadly well acted the strength of this piece is in the storytelling and crafted ending.

The simplicity of the filming is held together with great editing and use of light that is a credit to the team.

Not one for those looking for a typical Hollywood guts and gore Zombie flick, definitely one to kick back with a smoke and enjoy the ride.

Dreadful acting, lazy storyline, poor soundtrack?

NO! This movie had none of that.

OK, yes, so you can tell straight off the bat, that there was no budget for this film, but this is soon forgotten as you get drawn into the story.

The acting was mixed but with a very accomplished performance from Bethany Gregson as Allison Porter in the final third of the film.

I must be honest, I'm a usually not fan of low budget films and tend to dip out after a while, for the reasons I opened this review with.

All in all, this is a refreshing new look into the zombie genre, very well directed, well lit and engrossing storyline.

Well worth a watch!
