Red April

Living , for decades, in Dobrogea, easy to be seduced about this short film. A film reminding The Bulgarian April Uprising of 1876, admirable for give to event the precise traits of the fate of a Bulgarian couple, a tavernkeep anf his wife. His tavern was the meeting point of revolutionaries. Part of them were killed by Ottomans. The tavern owner is a surviver of confrontation. But the visit of Ottoman officer and his men, the pressure of a cards game and the stakes, the gestures of woman and the growing tension and the final interogatory - blackmail are the good points . The revenge- in which the raki has its significant role is the good answer to a confrontation very long, tough and not easy at whole.
