This is the first time I'm giving a review. It's a must watch movie. Not cringey at all and full of sentimental values especially the meaning behind the Gerberas flowers. Honestly, did not expect it to be this good because I have watched something similar which is "I Want to Eat Your Pancreas" but this movie is two times more emotional. You will know why when you watch it. This movie shows exactly how well the character development goes along the way. It may start of a bit slow at the beginning but towards half of the movie, it makes the audience feel touching between the two main characters. Even though they don't express much about their feelings towards each other. The relationship between them feels so natural and genuine through their actions and the way they treated each other so well. Please prepare tissue because I really mean it. What I learned from this movie is to always appreciate peoples around you and cherish each and every moment with your loved ones while you are still able to. There is also nostalgic plot at the end. Make sure to watch it!
Watched this movie on Netflix at 2am. I rarely cry at movies unless it's really good, and trust me this did not disappoint. I don't often watch foreign movies, but this one was so good. I was struggling to breathe near the end and my tears never stopped 😭😭. The acting was incredible, the music was good and the meaning behind the flowers was such a unique context to the story. It made me remember someone who I loved deeply but could no longer talk to as they moved on. So this story struck me in the heart so deeply, I haven't felt so affected from a movie in years. To anyone who questions watching this movie, please watch it won't disappoint.
P. S just learn this Ren Nagase is a Japanese idol in a group called King and prince. I was just streaming their music and it's so good. Cinderella girl song is so cute.

Watching this movie made me realize on how our actions can affect others heavily. Although the acts we do may seem small, it may not be for others. The movie really helped me understand the feelings of others and how life has it's twist and turns. I broke down watching because of how relatable it was, I cried a bunch of times in multiple scenes. Watching the characters bond with each other as their relationship between one another improves. You understand about people's feelings and their perspectives. The similar beliefs and thoughts shared. I love this drama, it really hurts me differently. I just love how it makes you re-think about your actions and the affect it may have on others. This may help all of us viewers to change our way of life style and be more open to to others.
I watched it long ago so i forgot most of it, but I remember some scene. I am not satisfied with the scene where akito die, because ayaka is paint on his nail, and bro was on his death bed. There was a pipe on his face so he don't die, and ayaka thought that THIS moment is perfect for my nail painting session. So when I'm trying to cry, ayaka is painting his nails as if he is not human but a mannequin hand and personally haruna is not that good at acting and I feel like the end scene where akito is reading haruna's post to him, they drag too long. I'm happy to show to my review. And now I'm am writing because I am very critical thinker, others say so. I am very proud, so go and watch sakamoto days.
Draw Closer (2024) is a deeply moving film that captures the grief of life in a way that feels painfully real and at the same time shows that love that can transcend pain and suffering.
The narrative is beautifully woven, revealing layers of connection and distance, hope and despair. Every scene is charged with emotion, drawing you closer to the characters until their pain becomes your own. The cinematography is equally mesmerizing, capturing the subtle nuances of the story with a hauntingly beautiful aesthetic.
The story centers on love and loss, showing how these experiences shape us and sometimes break us. The characters' struggles with their emotions are portrayed so honestly that you can't help but feel their pain. This movie ruined me-it dives into the heartache of losing someone and the emptiness that follows, leaving you feeling heavy long after it ends.
