Roger Howarth, the Emmy award-winning actor who most recently portrayed the contract role of Dr. Austin Gatlin-Holt on “General Hospital,” is joining the cast of “The Young and the Restless” for a “mystery role” that will bring him to Genoa City later this year.

According to Deadline, which first reported the news, Howarthworth is set to begin taping episodes in mid-September at the Television City studio, where the soap opera is based in Hollywood, with his first scenes set to air in the fall.

Set at a boarding school on the East Coast, the project “explores privilege, scandal, sexuality and masculinity amid the rise of social media, millennial anxiety and pharmaceuticals,” per Hulu’s official logline. The book is narrated by an unnamed student of the boarding school who moves into a dorm room once occupied by Foster Dade, who had transferred to the boarding school in 2008 but was later expelled due to a scandal that the narrator investigates over the course of years.

Berlanti is one of Hollywood’s most prolific producers and is especially known for his work on teen dramas and within the DC universe. Among his prominent credits are “Dawson’s Creek,” “Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Riverdale,” “You” and “All American.

Hulu has ordered a pilot of Greg Berlanti and Bash Doran’s “Foster Dade.”

As we tend to familiarize actors with their on-screen characters, it’s surprising that some have publicly expressed dislike for the roles that made them famous. Despite the iconic status of these characters, actors like these sometimes reveal that they hated portraying them.

The first episode of Peacemaker Season 2 has given fans a big change to notice. In a recap of Season 1, the Snyderverse Justice League was replaced by DC’s newly established Justice Gang.

This new lineup features Green Lantern (Nathan Fillion), Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced), Mr. Terrific (Edi Gathegi), alongside the new Superman, David Corenswet, and Supergirl, Milly Alcock.

This switch was expected since director James Gunn had hinted even before the first season aired that the Justice League scene would be updated.

Gunn also said he would love to reshoot Season 1 entirely to make it fit perfectly into the DC Universe, but it would be too expensive.

Xolo Maridueña‘s Blue Beetle will be receiving a treatment similar to Peacemaker, according to James Gunn, who reiterated that the character will indeed appear in the new Dcu (via Rotten Tomatoes). Considering the movie arrived post-Gunn’s Dcu announcement, even though it was one of the last remnants of Zack Snyder‘s Dceu, like Peacemaker, it had barely any direct ties to the now-defunct universe.

This further makes the transition from the Dceu to the Dcu very easy for Maridueña’s Jaime Reyes, as Gunn noted:

Peacemaker, there’s hardly anything else that you need to change for him, he can slide very easily into the Dcu, same with Blue Beetle.

Ciara Renee has reportedly filed a lawsuit against the producers of the upcoming Broadway musical Wanted, claiming that she was promised to play the lead role and was later cut from the show.

As James Gunn previously suggested, the show’s tightrope-walk along the borderline of canon between the Dceu and the Dcu was completed in the opening episode of the new season, and that included putting the Justice Gang into a reworked version of the Justice League scene that last time around featured Jason Momoa’s Aquaman and Ezra Miller’s The Flash. However, there is one member of the new team that no one expected to see yet – Milly Alcock’s Supergirl.

As well as the aftermath of Christopher Smith killing his Multiversal double, we see more of the show's alternate reality. The sneak peek also teases A.R.G.U.S.'s mission, as they look to stop Peacemaker from inadvertently destroying the world with his pocket universe.
