It's so refreshing to see a show where it's about a character who is autistic, rather than just being about autism. Atypical was great, but very centred around autism - Dinosaur you can watch and forget it's about that.
Here's hoping we see the sorts of personalities filter down into other people's writing so seeing them becomes the new normal.
The show is funny - one of the characters is a little too far as a parody. But most are normal people you might expect to meet. Combined with British/Scottish humor they have it pretty spot on.
Great sound track with the iconic Glasgow Camera Obscura. :)
I really look forward to seeing where they take it if it gets a second season.

DINOSAUR (2024 - ) is a really cute UK comedy drama about two sisters, Nina MacArthur (Ashley Storrie), an autistic paleontologist, and her sister Evie MacArthur (Kat Ronney) who is engaged to be married.
The sisters' relationship is center stage but there is also a bit of romance on the side as well. This series was very sweet and watchable. The story is simple but meaningful and moving.
"Nina's world is shaken when her sister Evie, also her best friend, hastily decides to get engaged, threatening to upend the dynamics of their close relationship."
Overall, this show was a really great find and definitely worth giving a try. Sweet and enjoyable.

Is it me? I really just didn't get this television programme. I kind of like that important issues are being raised by the writers but then they make the comedy sound so out of date in a really cringey way. There was literally nothing here that made me laugh out loud. If I'm watching a comedy show I expect a couple of belly laughs at least but they didn't come. A few smiles yes but my overall experience was not a good one. I was a bit disappointed because I really wanted to like the show after seeing trailers for it but I just didnt enjoy it. But it's a new show so it could get better as it progresses but I don't think I'll be watchin it again. Some of the actors were good so that's a plus.
I was so lucky that Hulu recommended this show to me. It was such a terrific combination of sweet, funny, and heartfelt. The show revolves around Nina, a late 20-something post-doc autistic woman who works at the museum in Glasgow as a paleontologist. She has an incredible relationship with her sister, and Nina's structured life is about to come to an end when her sister announces her engagement to a guy she has only been dating for 6 weeks.
The story and the acting was just wonderful. The creator and actress playing Nina is Ashley Storrie, who is autistic. She handles the balance of entertainment and neurodivergence beautifully. She is so personable and likeable that I was sincerely sad when I finished the last episode. I actually binged the entire thing in one sitting, and it definitely left me wishing for a second season. It's doubtful because this wrapped up beautifully, but I will definitely be looking for more of Ashley Storrie's work.
It was produced by "Fleabag" producer Two Brothers, and it shows. Fleabag is a brilliant show.
Watch this series. It's really excellent. (And Fleabag too.)

I came across this by chance on BBC I Player and was curious to watch it. I'm glad I did as it's fast become one of my comfort TV programmes to watch when I need a laugh and gentle viewing. It's a Joy to watch.
It won't have you belly laughing, but that's not a bad thing for me. Its soothing, comforting viewing to me and I feel a lot of people can relate to Nina who aren't Autistic who are rocked by sudden changes to their life's, which aren't always a bad thing.
Really hope the BBC commission more homegrown comedies such as Dinosaur:not everything has to be loud, in your face, controversial comedy, sometimes heartwarming and comforting shows are very much needed.
