Avis à la une
This movie is like halo 2 meets halo 3 but filmed entirely in real life.
This cinematic masterpiece might just be the great sci-fi ever captured on film and it happened at a time when we are alive to see it.
The acting is so gripping that they needed to hire four extra key grips just to help the actors grip.
I will go back to this movie for its story, art direction, and amazing use of lighting. But the thing that really brings me back is its original design for a creature from outerspace.
So life-like and well done. I'm going to finish this review so i can go watch it again.

Three nine-year-olds with a video camera could make a more professional film than this one! The budget must have been miniscule and that is EXTREMELY apparent by the nonexistent details of the props throughout the movie! Ranger trucks are unmarked, no symbols or emergency lights, Ranger and National Guard "uniforms" have no insignia, patches or badges! People are all just dressed in work uniforms that look like janitorial staff outfits! Even the signs are cardboard with stick on letters that are not even straight!!!
Scientific props are things like empty 5 gallon fish tanks and grade school microscopes!
Even worse than the props are the acting levels of the cast! None of them could act themselves out of paper handcuffs. The two worst "actors" are the lead female who delivers her line in a monotone voice no matter the situation and the long haired twelve-year-old who plays a ranger who has the hots for the National Guard sergeant!
And the story line is without any logic or continuity, it just does NOT make any sense!!!
The entire project is a DISASTER!!!

"Alien Hunt" follows a group of hillbilly siblings and their friends as they head to a remote cabin in the woods for a weekend of hunting and relaxation. Unbeknownst to them, an evil alien lurks nearby, controlled by a sinister ex-government scientist and his trigger-happy assistant. As the group stumbles upon their secret, illegal alien-breeding experiments, they soon realize that discovering this deadly secret could cost them their lives.
Most of the movie's scenes are set in the cabin, the surrounding woods, or a nearby cave hiding the secret lab where alien breeding experiments take place. The low budget is evident, with much of it likely spent on the alien costume, which bears a striking resemblance to the xenomorph from Alien. The creature in Alien Hunt even reproduces by laying eggs, an obvious nod to the classic movie.
Interestingly, the alien is portrayed by an actor in a costume rather than through CGI, allowing it to be shown mostly in broad daylight-a refreshing change in a genre where aliens usually lurk in the shadows. However, this choice also highlights the costume's low quality, making the alien look cheap. Combined with the cast's mediocre acting, the alien's encounters with humans can be more laughable than terrifying.
Despite the poor acting and the characters' often foolish behavior, especially when attacked by the alien or its overlord, there are some positives. The plot is consistent, and the pacing kept me engaged, suggesting the movie's length was just right. While I expected subpar special effects and a shoddy alien costume, the film exceeded my low expectations in these areas.
Alien Hunt isn't a movie you'd watch twice, but if you can catch it for free, it's worth a one-time viewing for some low-budget sci-fi entertainment.
