Avis à la une
Safe House (2025) is a well-executed thriller that delivers steady tension, solid action scenes, and engaging performances. The confined setting creates a strong sense of suspense, and the plot's "who-is-the-mole?" angle keeps you invested from start to finish.
While some characters could have been explored more deeply, the movie still maintains a fast pace and gripping storyline, making it enjoyable and easy to follow. The cast did justice to their roles, and the atmosphere of mistrust in the safe house is one of the film's strongest elements.
Overall, it's a very nice movie-thrilling, entertaining, and worth watching, especially if you enjoy compact action-mystery films.

As generic as its title, Safe House is been-there-done-that material. A lot of noise, a lot of familiarity and a lot of actors thinking screaming is the equal of a good performance. Jamie Marshall shoots the film as if it's a 13-year old's video game. There's lots of shooting. That's really it. Some good cast members are hopefully getting good pay checks here.
No pun intended - this is one of those movies that almost play entirely in one location. And it works - there is enough stuff going on to keep you entertained.
And the action (choreography) is really well done! Which is not really surprising consdering Lewis Tan is in this - he probably helped a lot with achieving what we see on screen.
The story is good enough for a B-movie ... the actors are doing their best so we don't think too much and find plot holes - and it works.
I am not sure about how the movie ends (and I don't mean the possibility/prospect of a sequel) ... but it is what it is ... I think the movie could have done things differently, fate wise and all that ... but then again the shock factor may be better or higher for most.

This film tries to blend high-stakes espionage with emotional drama, and while the casting is spot-on - with every actor fitting their role perfectly - the story itself leaves quite a few questions unanswered.
The main issue lies in the plot holes sprinkled throughout the film. For instance, certain character motivations are never fully explained - one agent switches sides with almost no reason given, and another somehow survives a situation that looked completely impossible. The safe house itself, which is supposed to be a top-secret facility, is infiltrated far too easily without any believable explanation. And some storylines introduced early on are simply dropped halfway through with no closure.
Despite these flaws, Safe House remains a decent casual watch. The action scenes are well shot, the pacing never drags, and the performances manage to keep things watchable even when the script loses focus. It's the kind of movie you enjoy for the moment - entertaining enough but forgettable once the credits roll.

Lots of action and good watch, it's what is expected by a movie I didn't even know came out. I enjoyed not knowing anything about it and then jumping into it and a little predictable but better than most of the stuff that's coming out these days.
For being in one room and having that much action, it all worked out.
