UK Ugly Man

I wasn't sure what to expect from UK Ugly Man, but it totally surprised me. Gritty, strange, and weirdly funny-it felt so real and different from anything I've seen lately, and so relevant to today's social climate. The lead performance was brilliant. I couldn't believe it was a debut film and made on such a tiny budget. It honestly looks and feels way bigger than that. The filmmakers obviously knew exactly what they wanted it to be. I won't give away anything because I wouldn't want to spoil it, but something happened that I definitely didn't see coming! If you're into bold, original storytelling, give this a watch. I'll be keeping an eye out for whatever comes next!

I watched this film not knowing much about it; it came up on my recommended feed on Amazon. After watching it, I was actually thinking about it for days after. The characters are all so different, and yet they all work really well together. It's laugh out loud funny at times, and really claustrophopic at other times. You watch it not having a clue what's going to happen, and it keeps you absolutely gripped. A fantastic drama and a huge twise I was definitely not expecting.

It's not your average movie, but if you're up for something different and surprisingly heartfelt, give this one a go. It's strange, bold, and totally memorable.

I read the reviews on IMDB before I watched it this film, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I ended up loving it. It's one of those films that just pulls you in straight away and takes you on a mad ride!. The characters felt real and well written, the story kept me guessing, and it had moments that were genuinely funny, scary and touching. I couldn't believe it was made on such a small budget, it certainly doesn't feel cheap or amateur. You can tell the people behind it really cared about what they were making. UK Ugly Man really stuck with me and I've already watched it again because there's so much to take in (and get my head around the unexpected scenes). I'd love to see what these filmmakers do next. Definitely worth watching!

Honestly didn't know what to expect with UK Ugly Man, but I was proper surprised. For something made on a tiny budget by folks I've never heard of, it's seriously impressive. The story pulls you in straight away, and there's a rawness to it that feels really real. It's funny in that dark, awkward British way, but there's proper heart to it too. It doesn't feel like an hour and twenty minutes, it goes by so quickly because it's so fast paced! You can tell everyone involved really cared. Fair play, this puts some big budget stuff to shame. Can't believe it's not more well-known. Absolute gem. Give it a watch!

Never seen anything like this before. The writing is brilliant, and keeps you gripped the whole way through. There are moments that you just do not expect and it actually made me gasp out loud. Very funny in places too, and very apt for the social climate we are currently going through. Smart film. The actors are all great, especially Rueben who makes you feel very strongly about him one way or another (I won't spoil anything!). I would really like to see what this director does next, but it is defintely something I haven't seen before and will watch it again with interest knowing how it all pans out. There is a lot going on and a lot to take in, highly recommend!
