Well, of course, she visited another country and you know what she'll find? A handsome hunk billionaire who seems to be the only good looking guy in that country, as it seems. These movies practically write themselves. The main character will hate the billionaire, but it will take the end of the movie until she says, 'I don't hate you now and I love you because I'm a predictable person. Honestly, I'm baffled. How do these movies get greenlit? Do the actors just sign on the dotted line without reading the script? It's like they're all playing a twisted game of 'I Spy' with the same tired tropes. 'I Spy with my little eye... a billionaire with a tragic past who needs a sassy American to soften his heart. If you enjoy watching paint dry or enjoy the exquisite torture of déjà vu, then 'Beauty and the Billionaire: Bali' is the cinematic masterpiece for you. Otherwise, save yourself the headache and watch something with actual originality."
This movie is FANTASTIC! The storyline is well-written! Actors and actresses execute the story incredibly well! Lots of chemistry (and fireworks) between Charlotte and Sam with supporting cast that demonstrate their incredible talents in their roles. Overall, the acting was AWESOME! This movie has twists and turns that I did not expect. I was kept on the edge. One reminder, as a medical professional, I appreciated the plot containing medical references, yet some of the medical aspects are not reality and exaggerated. When I logged onto my IMDb account to read more of the credits, I realized why this was such a great movie! Brittany Wiscombe seems to be one of my favorite writers...Many of my favorite movies are written by Brittany! Kuddos to her!
The worst cartoon beasts have nothing on this guy. Early on at the clinic he is looking to pick a fight with new born kittens and Ivy gives him one. She is pretty stupid and childish to do so when the clinic depends on him, but the Dylan character is beyond offensive. There was no reason for the writers and director to make him so over the top that I was cringing through all these early scenes. They could have toned him down several notches and still got the story set up they needed. Later at the villa he tells her she has to sit in a chair and watch the patient all night. When he discovers her asleep he yells at her. Not only is he rude and entitled beyond belief but he has zero common sense. In a scene soon after yelling at her for being asleep, he stops Ivy on the way to help Blake and wants her to play pool with him instead. Ivy's character is very unpleasant too but it's hard to tell how much is her basic personality and how much is reaction to Dylan.
Joel Bishop as Blade overdoes the woozy bit.
After all the ridiculousness is firmly established, the viewer gets a look at some double dealing.
I was hoping the movie would get better, especially the unlikable characters. The arguing and meanness eventually dies down but the script is still bad. In a rom/com the idea is to throw the leads together a lot but the excuses to do so are lame. Even the ending is unimpressive.
The acting is generally awful. The dialogue ranges from stupid to bland.

Dr. Ivy (Hemmings) brings out a nicer side of grouchy Billionaire, Dylan (Whitten). Their on screen chemistry is palpable, G-rated, and lovely. Very Beauty and the Beast. At first it's hard to watch Dylan's mean side. The ending leaves leaves you wanting more. The overall pacing is gentle and it is filmed on location in Bali, almost an immersive experience.
Hemmings is an absolute delight to watch on her own. Brains and beauty. She shares the screen with co-star Joel Bishop again (See them in Faith of Angels together). Gabriel Casdorph as stoic bodyguard is fun. Give this man some more lines.
I'd like to see where Ivy and Dylan end up next.

Such a cute movie, just an easy one to let your brain check out and check back into a beautiful Bali landscape and story with a surprising twist. Was this actually filmed in Bali, because now my family wants to go and my kids want to swing on "that big swing in the jungle." It was a good family-friendly movie, my kids both loved it (8 and 10 years old)
The lead actress is stunning, can't wait to see her in more movies (we also watched her in Faith of Angels- another feel-good flick!)
Make a sequel- we need to see where these characters end up and if they find their way to another gorgeous destination.
