As usual with this type of drama, this started off OK and went downhill rapidly. It is very predictable and some of it makes no sense at all. It is obvious right from the very start that Elliot is the bad guy and the big reveal at the end is an hilarious anti-climax as many of us guessed what he had done anyhow. The sudden change in his P. A. Simone was absolutely ridiculous as one minute she hated Rachel but the next she cared deeply for her wellbeing.
The acting was OK and it was a shame that Taj Atwal was so underused as Jasmine. Kara Tointon seemed to be scowling throughout though which was a bit off putting. Overall this was flat and the ending was truly funny with the least menacing child in history giving a cold stare into the camera. This made me think there would be a second series but I doubt it.

I just watched the 4 episodes.
I'd not heard of the male lead and man he can act but why oh why was he in this trash?
The other actors were laughable and the female lead with her either smiling expression or pained expression and nothing in-between was unwatchable.
The poor kid should have stayed at school as he ain't got no career in acting!
I can't work out whether it was the writer's fault or director's fault or just the whole sorry lot that this was so bad.
It was a Channel 5 afternoon USA type film on steroids.
Channel 5 seem to take the viewer for fools as it was all so non sensical and full of holes. It had me shouting at the screen!
Why do they use the same template for everything now.
I'll most definitely look out for things with Allen Leech but that's the only good thing to come out of this.

Having watched some utter dross in 2024 whe it comes to tv drama I went into this with some trepidation as a result of all the recent reviews. This is a little predictable but is easy to watch and does have a storyline. I think some of the reviews are a little harsh considering some dramas I've watched based upon good reviews only to find they are shockingly bad. I'm glad it's only 4 episodes long however the story flows nicely, setting the scene and although most people would scoff at the storyline by saying "well this is too good to be true" I guess that's the whole point.
Overall I would say this is worth a watch if at a loose end.

Just finished this series, of which all 4 episodes can be seen on My5. It gets steadily worse with each episode with a paper thin and entirely predictable plot.
None of the cast brings anything memorable to the production and the best that I can say about it is that there are some interesting classic cars in Elliot's museum and his house and grounds are worth seeing.
The script is lamentable and I'm amazed that they were able to get sufficient funding together to screen this. I struggle to think of a series in recent years as flat and unremarkable. My advice would be to watch something like Happy Valley again if you want quality entertainment.

Single mum and cleaner Rachel lands on her feet, when she is offered a job cleaning for a wealthy businessman, the pair soon become close, but Rachel is left wondering if things are too good to be true.
I've read some scathing reviews about this show, and whilst I don't think it's great, I still think it's watchable.
The issue I had, is that I thought the first two episodes were very pedestrian, too slow, and very predictable, it definitely improves from episode three onwards.
You have to wonder where Rachel is at on occasion, would a mum let her son spend so much with a total stranger? It was a little hard to believe.
There was definitely a degree of tension, and episode one had a nice amount of intrigue.
Kara Tointon and Allen Leech are both rather good, and I really liked Sara Powell's performance as the cold and stoic Simone, a very interesting character.
Filmed in Dublin, it looks rather good, makes a change from Eastern Europe.
6/10.
