Avis à la une
The film starts off immediately with a grisly scene. In a dark dingy basement with a maniac wearing a motorbike helmet, a woman is begging for her life, in a room where the walls and floor are covered in blood. Then we are shown what the leaf blower is capable of - who would have thought this everyday innocuous tool could be so lethal? It's a great introduction before we get into the film. As the credits roll to the sound of death rock metal, we're shown scenes from the Leaf Blower Massacre 1, which was released in 2013 as a short film; it helps to refresh the viewers minds.
Detective Stew (played by Tommy Nowicki) and Detective Randy (played by Michael Schmid) are a fascinating pair - I like the chemistry between these hardnosed investigators who are trying to track down a serial killer. News reporter Olivia Martinez (played by Yuri Barcenas) will do anything for a story. A homeless man (played by Joe DeBartolo) is dumpster diving (gross!) and comes across Shavar Jennings (played by Shavar D. Clark) inside one of the bins. This is a good mysterious element as he explains what happened to him from the first film. At home he discovers that his fiancé, Nicole White (played by Anita Nicole Brown) is missing. This sets off a chain of events. I like the scenes when Shavar thinks he is seeing the masked man in the distance, as this adds something sinister and surreal into the story arc. Is he imagining things? Is he being stalked? The suspense is building nicely. Sanchez, the school gardener, has a suspicious item in the trunk of his car (this character is from the film The Dirty Sanchez a 2013 production.) Shavar is back at work as a teacher, the detectives pay him a visit at school, and a terrible revelation about Nicole is revealed. It's a dreadful scenario. The serial killer - the masked man is a terrifying character; his characterisation is well thought out. Detectives are giving away information that they shouldn't. There's a missing schoolgirl. Students Molly (played by Lillian Lamour) and Veronica (played by Lizette Haro) ditch a party hosted by Bobby D (played by Anthony Cooney) to go home, not realising they are being stalked. They arrive and everything seems normal, until it doesn't. The suspense and tension is ramped up to the max. There are amazing images of horror, especially the scene in the boiler room. I loved the special effects of the hole in her body! There's a great bloody scene when the homeless bum encounters the killer. The interludes of the news reports are a fabulous way to confirm situations and to deliver revelations. Well done! Students are questioned, where we meet several characters to push the narrative. Shavar manages to find himself as a suspect. When Shavar goes back to the crime scene from the beginning of the film, it's horrendous, giving me Dexter vibes. I feel that Shavar is definitely losing the plot, he's becoming very volatile - this shows with the scene in the bathroom with a motorbike rider (played by Christopher Kahler.) More gore when Danny's mum (played by Valerie Betancourt) meets a gruesome end. Danny (played by Jimmy Wang) and his friends are off to the concert. Creepy, deviant Phil the security guard (played by Ari Lehman) sets the detectives onto Shavar, meanwhile a package sent to his office changes everything. At the concert something atrocious occurs to add more flesh to the storyline. It's a loud and abrupt scene, with a mini flashback of a horrid childhood memory of his mother (played by Claire 'Fluff' Llewellyn) as to why the masked killer is the way he is and does the diabolical things he does. It's a fantastic way to add layering and texture to the storyline and the overall plot. The chase is on through the nightclub, Shavar hunts down the serial killer, and the scene turns to carnage. The ending has a monumental twist that I did not see coming.
Overall, the scenes of horror are convincing. The special effects are excellent and extreme. The plot worked out well. The music is appropriate and enhances the scenes brilliantly. There are some great twists and turns. Cinematography is on point, and the POV well thought out. Acting is good and the characters are believable. I enjoyed this feature film and would recommend this to anyone wanting to watch something gory, with a wraparound storyline, artistically delivered with different color gradients and incredible settings, then give this a go.

With the maniac still on the loose, the lone survivor of his previous rampage struggles to regain his memory of the incident in order to rescue his kidnapped girlfriend as the rampage continues throughout the community.
Overall, this was a decent if flawed overall effort. One of it's strongest aspects is the creation of a fun low-budget atmosphere that leaves this with some rather creepy moments. Built around the idea of the killer getting to play within the community and getting to continue his rampage, there's some fun to be had with the stalking scenes featuring the killer striking various one-shot characters that stumble upon the killer. The ambush on the promoter out in the alley, the individual attacks on the lesbian couple in their home or the sequence with the surprise appearance at the young family all come together into being rather fun style stalking scenes that usually appear in these kinds of features. With a nice finale that also features a fun encounter at a music concert and the final confrontation in the basement lair of the killer which gives this the type of gore prominent in low-budget indie slasher efforts. These here provide this with enough to hold it up over the few minor flaws. One of the weaker elements to this one is the fact that there's quite a pronounced amount of filler material in a film that really shouldn't require any. Despite the origins of stepping this one up from the previous short, the languid pacing of the first half here really makes this feel longer than it should with scenes of the cops standing around at crime-scenes waiting for others to respond, seeing the entire journey of character's going around town talking to each other or wasting endless amounts of time just following the survivor around as he struggles to regain his composure. The other issue here is the rather clumsy setup for the killers' motivation which is rather shocking and somewhat hamfisted by being thrown into the film so late that it doesn't really have any impact or chance to resonate before it's over. Some might be put off by the low-budget quality of the production, but otherwise, it's not as bad as it could've been.
Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Violence, Graphic Language and Nudity.

Takes me back to a time where I sat in the horror section of the video store, out of the radar of my parents eye and checked out the covers of vhs tapes I'd never be allowed to rent. On point with the sticker reproduction on the front. Big Ari fan so you won me over with that too! Cheers! Thank you so much!
Director Anthony Cooney brings us Leaf Blower Massacre 2!
A awesome tribute to the Slasher flicks of the 80's. A really fun, bloody and boob filled horror flick. Oh and wait it has the first Jason (Ari Lehman). And fan favorite cult icon Christopher Kahler.
Shavar is grieving over the death of his finance. He wants revenge and is searching for the freak who did this.
Also in on this case is. A senior detective and his rookie partner are assigned to this case and hot on the trail of this garden tool killer.
A great cast does a great job under a really dedicated Director. Speaking from experience a project like this takes a lot. Your working long hours and a small project. But this project gets done and really impressed me. A talented crew and cast made this movie shine!
A really cool soundtrack adds to the movie. For a limited budget this movie did well
And provides some solid entertainment. This is a great weekend popcorn and beer movie.
Give it a try, won't be disappointed and hats off to a dedicated filmmaker, who I hope does a Leaf Blower Massacre 3.

Great film. Well put together. An original concept. We need more great indi filmmakers to achieve what Anthony Cooney has done. Looking foward to seeing more of Anthony's work.
