Based on the haunting true stories told on a famous radio show, the new horror series “Terror Tuesday: Extreme” will bring eight stories to the screen directed by eight directors in eight episodes of extreme terror. Deadline debuted the trailer today. Watch it below.

“Terror Tuesday: Extreme” premieres August 20, only on Netflix.

The anthology film’s cast includes Nat Kitcharit (Delete), Charada Imraporn, Sutthirak Subvijitra (4 Kings 2), Parada Titawasira, Pattaravadee Boonmeesup and Cherprang Areekul.

Directors include Prin Keeratiratanalak, Abhichoke Chandrasen, Prueksa Amaruji, Chayan Laoyodtrakool, Surapong Ploensang, Chookiat Sakveerakul, Eakasit Thairaat and Alisa Pien.

Terror Tuesday: Extreme is a horror anthology inspired by true events and dramatizing stories from a popular Thai radio show called Angkhan Khlumpong (Terror Tuesday).

The trailer opens with a scene of the radio show and a member of the public calling in to share a story. It also highlights chilling snippets from across eight episodes of the anthology, jumping from a spooky bridal shop, to a haunted washing machine, to an ominous room where a family of four have died in.

The series premieres on August 20 on the streaming platform.

The initial movie, inspired by real-life events in Thai society depicting conflicts among teenage vocational students prevalent in the 1990s, captivated audiences in 2021 as the top-grossing Thai film of the year. As anticipated, a sequel was promptly developed and subsequently made available on Netflix.

The story continues from the next part, bringing a clash between the Kanokarcheewa (Kanok) and the Buranabondh (Bu) students. As the movie begins, the former are planning their revenge, and enter the area of their opponents. The fight ensues immediately, but Tummeng, a Kanok member, is caught by a paranoid guy outside of the gangs, Yat, who even goes as far as to torture him and cut off his hand. The assault and harassment trial of Jonathan Majors kicked off in Manhattan court on Monday when prosecutors claimed the Hollywood actor engaged in a pattern of abusive behaviour towards his former girlfriend Grace Jabbari.

Korean crime drama ‘The Boys’ set to open inaugural Kiff.

The inaugural Kharkhorum International Film Festival (Kiff) is set to kick off on Thursday (December 7) with Korean director Chung Ji-young’s crime drama The Boys, in line with its focus on human rights.

Kiff takes place in Mongolia’s capital, Ulaanbaatar, until December 12 and is organised by the Film Bridge Development Association in collaboration with the Mongolian National Film Council.

Thai gangland sequel 4 Kings 2 has stormed the local box office, landing in the top spot as the second biggest opening for a local film this year.

The film, directed by Puttipong Nakthong, took $2.05m (72m baht) across its four-day opening weekend, following its release on November 30.

Backed by Bangkok-based Neramitnung Film, its gross was 44% more than its predecessor 4 Kings, which opened with $1.56m (50m baht) from its first four days in December 2021 and went on to rank as the highest grossing Thai film of that year.
