Avis à la une
I've watched all 6 episodes, I regret that I persevered with it. The show just drags and drags... there's a couple of good twists throughout I enjoyed the one at the very end of the last episode. But the rest of the show is not good enough to sit through for one good twist.
It's disappointing because it started off pretty good, with a few good laughs which is expected since it's supposed to be a comedy. But then the show really takes a nose dive by the second episode.
I've reached a point where I'm now struggling to fill the required 600 characters, as I have nothing else to add.
Don't watch this if you're actually looking to watch a comedy.

It's unfortunate when British fans take to review platforms to express their dissatisfaction with a show based solely on one or two episodes that feature their favourite characters. While it is natural for fans to hold deep attachments to certain characters, judging an entire series on such a narrow basis seems a bit dismissive. The show "Stags" is exceptionally well-written and produced, showcasing a clever narrative that captures the audience's attention from the very first scene. The character development is intriguing, and the plot twists keep viewers guessing throughout each episode.
Although it is worth mentioning that the dialogue may be extensive at times (episodes 5 + 6), which could potentially slow down the pacing for some viewers, this should not detract from the overall quality of the filming, writing and storytelling. Additionally, while the portrayal of the "monster" may come across as less believable, it does not overshadow the consistently original and thrilling plots that the show delivers. Each episode brings a fresh experience, inviting viewers into a world where suspense and creativity intertwine beautifully.
Ultimately, viewers will either find themselves enjoying this genre, or they might choose to skip it entirely. However, resorting to leaving a negative review after merely one episode is simply not justified, as it overlooks the overall brilliance of the series and discredits the good acting and hard work that the creators have put into crafting a compelling narrative. One should allow a story to unfold fully before jumping to conclusions, as the richness of the entire series often reveals itself beyond the confines of a single episode.

I had high hopes for this comedy-thriller but
boy does this drag on.
No idea why it has such a high rating on IMDB either. Its not a bad plot but the writers have pulled a half-good idea like an elastic band.
I've watched three episodes but have now officially given up with the poor acting ,second rate script and unrealistic sets.
Life's to short to watch the whole series so maybe it gets better ? I guess i'll never know.
So much for falling for the press previews.
It will be interesting to see what other viewers make of 'Stags' but my monthly Paramount subscription is not getting renewed .

I watched the first three episodes with the appropriate attention, but I'm now on the fifth and my mind is wandering and I'm not entirely sure what's going on. Not a particularly good sign.
There is little in the way of characterisation and the protagonists/antagonists just sort of blend into one. You get to the point where you keep checking how long is left on each episode, willing it to end. If there's any doubt, I'm not a fan.
A really good story keeps your attention, you can't wait to see how it ends. I don't really care what happens, I'm going to turn it off now. To paraphrase the great Barry Norman, I may be wrong, I have been before.

I thought the concept of the show was unique. Sure, it's unusual but at least it hasn't been done a 100 times. There's definitely multiple funny parts throughout the series and I felt the acting was excellent. The set designs are ulcerative and it's fun to watch them navigate those "prison" and how it operates.
When it ended I was rather excited to see the second season as it leaves on a bit of a cliffhanger. I look forward to seeing the dynamics of the characters and how they develop after betrayal. I enjoyed getting to see some of the actors I've seen in other shows take a lead role, like Corin Silva from Rogue SAS.
Don't know why there's so many hateful reviews on here, maybe they are just looking for another knock off attempt at The Godfather.
