This second "porn-parody" of the hit Marvel film is a ripoff in two ways: stealing Marvel's intellectual property by imitating rather than presenting satire or parody (it's not funny and doesn't make fun of the comic book characters), and then ripping off the consumer.
Feature runs 76 minutes long (including credits) and then continues for 24 more minutes with a tacked-on sex scene of Nick Fury (Lex Steele) and sexy Shazia Sahari that is merely to set up a plug for their Avengers ripoff feature. And this XXX scene is easily the best in the show, likely shot 9 months later given the production dates of July 2011-March 2012 for Iron Man XXX and March 2012 for Avengers XXX.
Dale DaBone is a fine choice for the title role, more exuberant than Robert Downey Jr. , since he always channels a bit of The Rock's braggadocio into his acting performances. But he doesn't do much, nor do any of the other lead players in a threadbare cast. Brooklyn Lee toward the end of her career looks smashing as Black Widow, but merely shows up irrelevantly for a lesbian scene with leading lady Lexi Belle. Masked with a lousy wig and fu manchu mustache Derrick Pierce is a poor villain, and Alec Knight shows up briefly in a NonSex role, after a featured part in the earlier film parody made by the notorious Rob Black during latter's "cleaned-up pornographer" career phase (post-Lizzy Borden outlaw content). Most porn films omit NonSex credits (here Kylie Ireland suffers that fate) but one Robert McEvilly gets both screen and box cover credit for playing 'Thunderbolt' Ross, a character I didn't spot at all.
The special effects are lousy, minimal action scenes weak, and overall the dramatic set-ups add up to a mere 22-minute NonSex version provided as so-called Bonus content on a second disk. The 2-DVD format is a total ripoff, with price point over $30 but delivering far less than the usual porn release at nearly twice the cost.
