Where do I begin?
The plot might not seem like much at a first glance, but trust me,the writing quality might even surpass "Breaking Bad". The story follows young Max,who is about to embark on a journey of biblical proportions. He will learn everything there is to know about cooking from 5 mythical cooks. One of them is a cooking deity,to us mortals known as Viktor Petrovich. When he doesn't crack jokes,Vitja is cracking eggs and making extravagant French suppers.
This tear-jerker of a story will teach you how to live, laugh and most importantly...love. Sadly you won't learn how to cook.'Cause you were not chosen.
The deaths and other violent scenes are done in good taste, and executed perfectly. The funny scenes don't take away from the emotional turmoil that came before.
Characters have such depth that you can't differentiate them from real people. I once had a dream that I lead a happy life living with Vitja as a roommate. One day he left to live in Paris to persue his career as a god-emperor of the Kitchen. I was devestated. I woke up,drenched in sweat and tears.
That's how much of an impact characters leave on you.
I don't want to spoil much more. This is a journey you have to embark on with Maxim on your own.
Be prepared to cut out all earthly desires and materialistic possesions for the next 56 hours and 40 minutes, because my friend, you are setting foot on a path of enlightenment.

Started to watch this show just recently, from the first season I began to understand how professionally filmed this show, even in Hollywood, not everyone would be able to create the atmosphere that is here, the actors are on high, despite the fact that this is a comedy, in it there are many vital moments, and they are expressed very competently, that literally begins to catch on while watching each series, each season has its own twist, the plot can change unexpectedly, sometimes I wonder how they could make such a masterpiece series in Russia, there are hints of black humor, and it catches on even more, because you do not know what begins series and what ends.
Kitchen is definitely the best TV show of all Russians. I give him 10/10, first of all a great comedy with excellent actors (Probably the best in Russia), a good script, and not bad films either. At the same time, the series also has worthy sequels in the form of Senya Fedya and Hotel Eleon. Overall an EXCELLENT TV series)
In it many people grew up, in which you can discern parts of the inspiration from the Western series "Scrubs", but at the same time have a unique for itself plot and style. You can discern in it not only comedy, but also drama with melodrama, which raises serious themes from real life.
The casting came out great, and the acting is unquestionable. Cute girls and men who for a young audience evoke sympathy for the characters and the series. The music is very catchy, and the endings are haunting. The comedy is good, not to say that it is very funny, but it always cheers you up.
The effects, which are sometimes there, are not done very well, but they can be neglected. In season 4, there is a slight sense that the series is being dragged out by the bed scenes. At some point the funny jokes disappear, the cooking fades into the background. You could say that you can watch the first seasons uninterruptedly, then the last seasons you just watch to finish the series.
My youth passed together with this series, and even now it causes me only positive emotions from watching it. It has its flaws, but in spite of them, this show is not like the others.

I was introduced to the series by a friend who enjoys discovering films and series, and was impressed ever since the first episode. I have spent the next few weeks grinding all available episodes while eager to see the next ones coming. This series is not entirely about cooking, it is about life in a first-class restaurant's cooking area and furthermore, life itself. A young man with ambition and talent who had been offered a "position" in the kitchen came to it with hope of becoming the greatest chef in the world before gradually realizing how hard it could turn out. A Bolsevik boss, naughty and materialistic colleagues, and tons of hot chicks - not to mention very related irrelevant strangers - all make up for the twists and solutions of the series. Each season have 20 eps, and each end opens up a new horizon, a new perspective to discover our characters to a deeper level. At the end of each episode is life lesson and sum-up, which makes the 25-minute motion picture even more meaningful to viewers. A must- watch for all age.
