Avis à la une
The story sets the tone with Fahadh Faasil as 'Dhayalan' doing small level thefts and meets Vadivelu as 'Velayudham Pillai' in an unexpected situation and how they get close and setting their journey on a bike and facing lot of things in their journey make up the story.
Hatsoff to director Sudheesh Sankar for giving the audience an excellent movie. This movie is narrated in such a beautiful way and story plot is too good and combo of Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil elevated the movie to another level.
This movie kept us continuously engaging until very end. Completely very different shade of 'Vadivelu' as an actor in this movie is really very good to see and his facial expressions was so nice which reflects that he has some grim past and my respect to him reached different heights. What we pursue in the first half of the movie changes in the second half which keeps this movie in another League. Fahad Faasil acted effortlessly with his acting skills and his presence was too good to see and keeps us pumped up throughout. The director has communicated things in a precise and clear manner in this movie. Other Characters played by Vivek Prasanna & Kovai Sarala has done their role really well.
Overall a brilliant and excellent movie with story plot, narration and acting and makes us very satisfied after watching it.

A light hearted feel good road travel movie promising a dopamine rush with a robust screenplay and unparalleled performances.
The plot of the story takes us through the road journey of two individuals where one is on a illicit purpose of looting the old man but their coincidental meeting had a purpose that unfolds through the movie.
Sensational writing by Sudheesh Sankar blending relationships, emotions and subtle humour through the movie giving a surprise interval block awaiting some major developments in the story revealing the true shades of the characters. The brilliance of the screenplay is evident from the opening scene metaphorising the journey of the character played by Fahadh. When two epic performers join hands for a movie, it gives an assurance to the audience that the movie will not disappoint if supported by a solid story which has life.
Versatile performances by Vadivelu & Fahadh moving through the shades of their characters in ease and the hit combo is again with a banger. The timing, the gestures and how effortlessly they move into the characters left the audience in awe. Impressive performances by Sithara, Kovai Sarala & Vivek Prasanna.
Good framing by Sivaji perfectly sliced into a feel good entertainer by Sreejith Sarang. Good music and BGM's by Yuvan variating it's dynamics once the movie shifts to top gear in the final half. Big hugs to the director for giving a refreshing cinematic experience.
A truly memorable movie experience giving some beautiful life messages and some positive insights on strange relationships.

Mareesan is a well made drama-thriller that follows thaya(a thief who's has been just released from a case) and an old man named pillai(an Alzheimer patient who's struggling with his life) performed by two exceptional actors Fahad fasil and Vadivelu, the two powerful pillars of the film. This isn't a story that is all new but the way they presented it with this screenplay is something that glued me to the screen in the later half unfolding multiple twists. It takes time to build the characters in the first half which might seem slow for some but people should normalise watching slow paced thrillers to get more unique works which gives a good experience overall. Of course it has some flaws and has some odd scenes but that doesn't make this film any weak. Do Watch it in theaters for the experience.
The first half of the film has been done with a slow pace of screenplay but which is actually needed to the second half writing. Eager begins with the pre interval scene and there film starts to run with many curiosities. Even though the first half was bit slow, but the visuals and there screen presence makes us never bore. Vadivelu and faasil perfectly done their screen presence. An experience of thriller movie you never had before.
Honestly did not expect this one to hit me the way it did. Thought it would be a lighthearted journey with an old man and a thief but this film slowly pulls you into something way more emotional and intense.
Vadivelu is the heart of it. Not his usual comedy stuff. He is quiet and calm but there is something heavy behind his eyes in every scene. Fahadh plays off that energy perfectly. Their back and forth is not loud or flashy but weirdly gripping.
The story takes its time but it builds so well. At first I just enjoyed the ride but by the end I was fully invested. Some moments really stayed with me even after the movie ended. It talks about pain and memory and doing the right thing even when everything is against you.
There are a couple of small subplots that kind of just fade away though. Like there is this bit about the police trying to find a stolen bike after someone complains but it never really goes anywhere. Same with a phone that gets stolen early on and is never brought up again. Not a huge deal but just felt a bit random.
Still, none of that takes away from how powerful the film is. Not your usual mass movie. No punch lines or big action. Just a slow burn that gets under your skin and makes you feel something real.
Definitely worth watching. One of those films that stays quiet but hits hard.
