In a world of formulaic romantic holiday movies that aren't known for their brilliance, this one is even more lackluster than most.
The acting is flat, with zero chemistry between any of the actors. I mean any. The family is boring, and their interactions are listless. You're left wondering how the parents had 3 children, that's how uninteresting they are. The romantic couple-to-be have all the sparks of wet cardboard.
The plot is so lazy that nearly every single holiday romance trope is hit. If you're playing the bingo card, you're going to hit them all!
I watch these films out of escapism, with few hopes for great storytelling. Alas, this one dashed those fragile few hopes to pieces.
