I really love this film. It was super timely and I got to see a Q&A after with the director. The intentions of the filmmakers are honorable and you can see how much of their passion comes out through the work. It's been a while since I've actually been this emotionally moved during a film because unfortunately we've become so desensitized. I learned a lot during this film. I'm going to do some of my own research and learn more about British rule in 1936. Considering what's happening in Gaza right now this film is extremely important. The acting was well performed. There is a polished quality to the film it could have been a bit more gritty, but considering how good the story is, I let it go. This is a good film to show for any history, teachers out there or film teachers.

I found this a very compelling film which did a good job of accurately capturing the historical context. A lot of period dramas suffer from actors with botox faces, and clothes/makeup styles out of keeping with the setting. This felt very authentic, and so really got me immersed in the story.

I went to see it with a Lebanese family I know, and the mum said it really brought it to life, and told a lot of stories which she had never heard before. The characters were believable, the background of meddling by the British government felt very real, and the violence of the settlers felt authentic and looked a lot similar to the violence faced by those in Palestine today.
