How this get a 7 smh should be more like a 1
Instead lol this season was trash the characters was boring the characters who looked like strong competitors was not at all it was hard for me to get passed most of the episodes but I did I continued to watch it because I thought it would get better I was wrong smh It was only like to good characters in the hole show we did not need another season the last season was bad too I'm just happy it's finally over but we probably getting another season smh I hope it's better than this trash yall gave us this year. So of the characters was acting like a couple of the characters from season 1 it was just a temu version of them smh.
You guys im loving this!! Total drama is a long time favourite of mine and when I found out a new season is in the making I was excited but also wary. I was hoping it would be better than Pahkitew Island which is def the lowest quality of the newer seasons. This thing did NOT disappoint! The characters are actually fun and make their presence be remembered. Am I able to name everyone in Pahk Island? Nope. In Revenge? Probably. 2023? For sure!! I also love some of the designs. Damien is really cool and Scary Girl is a rebranded version of Izzy but creepier somehow?? Both the first and second season have fun challenges (except for THAT episode that we won't talk about. Yk the one I mean, right Ripper?). I'm hoping for a 3rd one, it would also be cool seeing older contestants but since it's 15y in the future they'd be adults now so that would be kinda odd I guess.
I've been a huge fan of total drama since 2007 and I love that they just keep coming out with more seasons. Total drama 2023 was awesome but the new season for 2025 is AMAZINGLY FUNNY!! I love the angle of everybody's personality shown more in the new seasons. It gives me the opportunity to have more favorites. The host of the show is always number one as well as chef haha. Caleb is starting to be one of my favorites because we get to see more of him. I really enjoy the role that Ripper plays and season two with the whole Axle situation. The whole concept of the show since 2007 has been AWESOME.
Overall, Total Drama (2023) is a fantastic remake as there is tons of diversity, creativity, throwbacks, and lessons learned. I am really, really, REALLY hoping for a 3rd season of the show.
However, there is one thing I wish we have gotten more of and that is the character Lauren, a.k.a. Scary Girl. I see tons of potential in this character as there needs to be a reason why she is so scary and intimidating to the other contestants. She clearly stated in her audition tape that she wanted to make new friends but her scary appeal makes such a thing impossible. If we get a third season, I want to see new contestants and some of those contestants befriend Lauren and have her open up on why she acts the way she does. It's clear that there's more to Lauren/Scary Girl than she's letting on and a third season will give her the development she clearly deserves!

It seems like this reboot is definitely geared towards a new audience. They focus a lot on trying to be "modernized," with influencers, "token" diversity people (saying this as a dark-skinned person), using terms like "slay" in their theme song, and it's just totally different from how the original would have presented itself.
I want to make a note here that, while watching the series, the only person I could relate to was Millie - the one who was perplexingly documenting all the other contestants' odd behavior.
This reboot is what a franchise would do if they wanted to alienate and make their original audience leave the show. This is even more evident by the fact that it's already season two and it still hasn't hit American networks (where a good portion of the original audience was based) - coupled with the fact that I would say half of the original audience doesn't even know this reboot exists, and if they did happen to see it, it definitely turned them off.
I understand that we can't always stay at the same point in time and that things have to change for a new audience to come in, but this is too much.
It completely changed the show in a way that's not even recognizable. The character dynamics and storylines are way off, and the voice actor for Chris doesn't even have the same sound; they would have been better off replacing Chris with one of the old contestants to host the show instead of replacing his voice actor.
All in all, I give this a 3 out of 10 to be generous - I just feel like I hate the new show, and one of my favorite TV franchises got ruined in the blink of an eye.
