The contemporary issue of i/e-migration and marriage for a green card sounded interesting at first, but shortly felt repetative and drab in Okarina. For me personally the biggest problem of this feature were its non-developed characters - everyone seemed kind of one-dimensional and even though the story took place over roughly nine months the characters felt almost the same. Sadly the creators chose to only tell us that someone has/should have changed (e.g. In a dialogue when one said "have you noticed that she is different now") instead of actually showing us that she has changed with her own actions... I was patiently waiting for a twist or turn in the story, but none ever came, the story just passed with not much gradation and therefore it did not keep my attention up for the whole runtime of only 93 minutes. Another downfall of Okarina were definitely acting performances of some side characters that really did not do the main skilled actors justice...
