Emarrassingly woeful

With Joe Wilkinson at front and centre I had high hopes that this would be a zany take on hotelier life. Not so.

We have a struggling hotelier (Wilkinson) who has left London to run a silent retreat, somewhere in the country, and we join him as the bank is foreclosing on the mortgage and as he's expecting his father (to spread his mothers ashes) and his in-laws (to celebrate their 40th anniversary). Much chicanery ensues to no comedic effect.

I have to confess that I got only as far as the set up before checking out. It really is that bad.

You'll see a Fawlty Towersesque vibe emerge that doesn't quite pay off as well as Wilkinson never really finding his stride. The foregoing coupled with naked old men, dildo jokes and a poor performance from Jane Asher as the, wait for it...... overbearing mother-in-law means this offering from music director and short film maker Warren Fischer never takes off.
