This is another Hallmark mystery, and actually, it's delightful.
Set in Ireland, it's the story of a woman named Gethsemane, a choral teacher who rents a house where a woman was killed and her partner was a suspect. He was later poisoned.
The partner shows up as a ghost and asks Gethsemane to find the real killer of his wife, as he was accused.
Beautiful Irish scenery, and I have to admit I was teary at the end. The lead, Tamara Mowry-Housley gives a warm performance.
One thing that was nuts - Gethsemane is the only one who can see the ghost. Therefore she is constantly seen talking to no one. I did watch another show where someone talked to ghosts, and he would pretend to be talking on his cell phone. Wouldn't that make more sense?
An interesting feature of this film is the presence of two lovely women who are not a size 2. I have to think it was deliberate. Mowry-Housley is radiant and a good choice.

Hallmark Mysteries and More has been adapting books for years, but this one is outside its usual 'cozy' orbit. While it has some of the hallmarks (ahahahah) of the usual Hallmark mysteries, a hunky police officer, brainier love interest, the setting of Ireland and ghost aspect set it outside the usual fare of librarians, caterers and bakers who solve crimes on the side. I actually had to give the movie my undivided attention since it didn't quite follow the formula. The scenery and wardrobe alone make this worth watching. I do find Tamara Mowry to be a bit of an over actor but she is always entertaining.

I feel a little mixed about this new Hallmark mystery series. There were things I loved about it...like the actor who played the musical ghost, Risteard Cooper, he was fantastic...but I don't think he is coming back. I also really enjoyed the Irish backdrop. I did think it was awfully weird that there were not just one but two foreign transplants in the same small village, and both are teaching at the same school?...which brings me to Marco Grazzini, who plays Griff. I like the actor in general, but he seemed to stand out like a sore thumb in this series. I liked the use of the musical ear worm and one of the students helping to solve the clue.
This series is based on the books by Alexia Gordon called the Gethsemane Brown Mysteries. I haven't read them and know very little about them except that they are a cosy mystery series. I am afraid I didn't enjoy this film so much that I am rushing out to buy them or anything. But I would say I am neutral and willing to give the series another chance. I am a big fan of Hallmark Mysteries with my favorites being Hannah Swensen, Aurora Teagarden (the original and not the reboot that goes back in time) and Mystery 101.
This series had a ghost teaming up with a music instructor to solve a mysterious murder.
Not quite a recommendation, but I am reserving judgement. The paranormal addition is kind of new for a Hallmark Mystery series and I didn't hate it.

I stumbled upon this while looking for something to watch on Peacock and o boy I'm glad I did. I'm a Tamera and Tia fan and was glad to see Tamera cast as the lead. The story was very intriguing, funny, mysterious and it kept my attention the whole time. The characters name was a hoot to me, lol, I've never heard that name used before but it still worked for the role. The scenery in Ireland is very beautiful and the other cast members had great chemistry with Tamera. I find it strange that a couple of people have a hard time accepting Tamera as a woman younger men would fall for. She's 45 in real life but she looks much younger and her character is in her 30's. Great movie and I will watch it again.
It was pretty good until the unbelievable reveal at the end. Without spoiling anything let us put some basic physics into play here, if you think someone of that size doing what they did to someone else of a certain size without any explanation then you must think we are idiots and you are blowing smoke up our proverbial hind quarters. This basic storyline is in ninety percent of these Hallmark movies and Lifetime movies for that matter and adding a supernatural element, while neat, did not really add anything except making this movie slightly more interesting and that is it. I liked the garage sale mysteries and the Teagarden movies by the way if we can forgive Martha Stewart than we can do the same for Lori Loughlin. I loved Tia and Tamera growing up but watching her in this felt a little pushed. Hopefully the next one and I do hope there is another, Hallmark might put a little more thought into it. I would also like to point out the other two reviews on here at this time, first reviewer has only this movie on there so they probably work for Hallmark and the second persons reviews are almost all Hallmark movies so either they are a megafan or they definitely work for Hallmark. To the person who personally doesn't agree with me I can't help but notice they also have tons of reviews for Hallmark but I guess that's just a coincidence.

Having a ghost as a major character added to the fun of what would otherwise have been a just so mystery. With the lead woman and the ghost, there were several fun interactions. The only minor negative was the overused Hallmark situation of having two men pursue the leading lady - this happens way too often. And, it doesn't help that neither of them have any chemistry with her. Another fun aspect was the music and how it was being taught to the school group. And, this would be the end of my review except that this program requires that we keep typing and typing to meet their ridiculously long character minimum.

Came across this movie on a rainy Saturday. Seemed like a perfect watch. Haunted Harmony Mysteries is based on the books, The Gethsemane Brown Mysteries, which I am now looking forward to reading. The movie was a fun, lighthearted mystery. Gethsemane Brown was looking for a new start in moving to Ireland becoming a music teacher in a new school, in a new country. This movie contained a cast of interesting locals, talented students, a specter, and Ireland. I liked that it didn't take itself too seriously but was a bit of wholesome family fun. I laughed and smiled . It was enjoyable. I am looking forward to this Hallmark series. Watch and enjoy. It was a bit of Murder She Wrote, Miss Marple, and Mystery Incorporated.

I don't agree with the reviewer who felt that the positive reviews were from Hallmark employees.
I absolutely loved this title. Tamera was absolutely charming, and I thought this concept was fantastic. I'm glad Hallmark chose to adapt this title, I'm planning to request it at my local library!
I thought the whole cast was really strong and the scenery was so beautiful.
If you haven't picked up a new Hallmark mystery series in awhile, I would recommend this one. I really hope they make more soon!
Ps- there were some goofy parts of the movie- two adults riding one bike (that wasn't even a tandem bike)? I had to laugh. It's a very cute and well-done move.

This was everything I loved in a murder mystery. I really hope this is the first of many series. It was like a blend of the best bits of Murder she wrote, Randell and Hopkirk deceased and the Aurora Teagarden mysteries. I loved that this can be watched across generations. I have teenagers and elderly parents and both enjoyed watching it.
Its great to see that more Hallmark films are being made in the UK and Ireland as it makes them more relatable. I could see this being a long standing series and would welcome it. Tamara was great and came across well as a reluctant but intelligent sleuth. Well done Hallmark.

Haunted Harmony mysteries murder in gene major, portrays and depicts the beautiful culture of Ireland as well as the aesthetic beauty of the Ireland countryside. The movie is set in Ireland portrays great intrigue and mystery as one is drawn into the mystery and intrigue of the movie itself attempting to discover and figure out who the killer is and what their motive was. The movie kept my interest up and I could not take my eyes away from the television. I must say I did not even want to walk away to take a break when the commercials came on because I was afraid I might miss something. I highly recommend this movie.

Just to be clear I enjoyed this Hallmark movie. I don't usually like them as they are so predictable. This mystery was fun and in my opinion the acting was superior to many hallmarks other films. I enjoyed Ireland scenery and it was a breath of fresh air. The vistas were amazing and the quaint village was a wonderful place. The Easter egg at the end of future collaborations was inspiring to me and the future shows. It wasn't a girly movie as many Hallmarks are. What more can be said without giving anything away is difficult in 600 words. The fine Irish actors certainly brought this film up to a nine of ten.
Keep up the excellent work Hallmark.

I'll begin with I read the book. The "orchestra" leader, not choir leader was a young woman. Tamara is 45! From the book I thought she was early thirties? Also why does Hallmark HAVE to use and reuse the same actors? Are there no more actors? Total miss-cast here. And the econ teacher? Hot dude who's hot for Tamara? Didn't see that at all. I was so excited when a friend told me they made this into a movie. There will also apparently be more? The book, the ghost, the concept are great. Casting other than the ghost was seriously lacking. The reviews do look as if they might be plants. Saw only one real review although I must saw I had to jump through hoops to find a link to write this one. Unless the cast is reconsidered I won't watch any future extension of this either.
Based aseries by Alexia Gordon. Now that I have watched this, I have 3 of the books in my Amazon cart! Getsemane Brown is in Ireland for a new job but, Her new home is haunted by a musician and only she can here his music and him! Now she is drawn into solving his murder and the murder of the love of his life.
I enjoy a good Hallmark mystery but this one was so good! A mix of ghost story, murder mystery and beginning love story (whom will she choose? Fellow teacher or detective). Here is hoping this is the beginning of many of these books being made into movies! Happy to see more diversity!!!

Really enjoyed this movie - particularly Risteard Cooper and Tamera Mowry-Housley. Engaging story line, wonderful actors/characters, intriguing scenario. This has sequel written all over it - and I personally would welcome it. Hallmark generates lots of mysteries pilots but surprisingly rarely follows up on the really promising ones. Please do not let this opportunity pass by as so many others.
Since I can't post without some absurd number of characters, I'll fill in here: Series that need to be continued: The Gourmet Detective; Darrow & Darrow; The Curious Caterer; Morning Show Mysteries & Murder, She Baked.

Often I can tell the criminal with in the first 15-30 minutes. I was so happy when this wasn't the case right off. I've always loved the Mowrey family and enjoyed watching them grow into the really talented actors they are today. Let's hope this becomes as popular as the other Hallmark Mystery series. Hannah Swenson and the Aurora Teagarden options. I look forward to the way they develop the characters and I hope she stays in the house. The story was great and not easily figured out (for a change). Add in beautiful scenery, lovely accents , a love triangle and a quirky ghost and it creates a story you'll enjoy. So glad you left it open to many more episodes.
I really liked this movie. I liked most every element.
I was only vaguely familiar with the actress who played the lead, but I have to say that I really liked her. She was pleasant and nice and not at all annoying. Usually, actors and actresses, (or their characters) are annoying in some way that takes away from the enjoyment of the show. I am happy to say that TMH was not like that at all. I found her very refreshing and enjoyable to watch.
The other lead character, the 'ghost' was also wonderful and played by an Irish actor with whom I was previously unfamiliar. The two worked well together and I look forward to seeing many more of these movies.
The Irish setting was great, the cottage where the lead stayed was nice, and the school where she taught - the little town- were all charming.
As for the story, for the most part I had no complaints. There was a little too much time spent on the lead coming to terms with seeing a ghost. Other than that, I have no complaints.
A thoroughly enjoyable movie with likable leads. Thanks, HM.
