Movie is let down by the acting calibre of the supporting cast. Loud reactions and overacting are the fallback of every average actor. This was abundantly evident as the movie progressed. Though the Directors tried to hide the possible murder suspect, but if you have watched enough Bollywood movies there are ample clues to zero in on the possible culprit. Manoj Bajpaye has his familiar eccentric style of acting, so you could say he was his efficient self. The direction and the narrative wasn't taut enough to keep the audience captivated. This is the kind of movie you could watch on a lazy, rainy Saturday afternoon, where you have nowhere to go and nothing to watch.

The story starts as a murder mystery and becomes thrilling towards the end. Intriguing at many parts. Few parts could have been cut short for a even compelling story.

Performances are so good. Manoj Bajpayee as usual - perfect. Prachi Desai did a clean role. Others performed well too.

The story is guessable at many parts but has surprising elements too. The antagonist also delivers a convincing performance.

Believable investigations and ending.

I do not know why this film is so underrated.

Overall a decent murder mystery film which is worth a watch if you are a fan of this genre. Go for it!

A decently made thriller movie with a solid performance from Manoj Bajpayee. The other cast members also do well and thankfully there is no overacting from them. The case builds up as the movie progresses and it might seem like a slow burner for some viewers but it doesn't become boring at all. The plot is well laid out but one might feel that towards the end when the main culprit is caught it is a bit far fetched. But that's for the viewer to decide. The movie does focus on an important topic and stays true to that.

Besides Bajpayee's smooth acting one other person who definitely caught my attention is Parul Gulati. She acted well and played her part with witch such finesse. Will definitely like to see more of her in future movies.

This is a movie definitely worth a watch.

Film Review: Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout streaming on Zee5!!

A shootout at a Bar in Mumbai resulting in the deaths of 10 people including an influential political party member .. A decomposed body of a young girl found in Jaipur !! Are these 2 cases related? Are things actually the way they are made to seem ? Well... that's a puzzle for ACP Verma ( Manoj Bajpayee) and his team from the SCU ( Special crimes unit) to solve !!

The film starts off on a promising note with Manoj Bajpayee, Prachi Desai & Co. From the SCU thrown on the thick of things right from the word go. However as the story progresses, flaws in the script begin to appear and if u r a wee bit observant ( like yours truly 😁) u will guess the killer well before the climax !!

Manoj Bajpayee gives it his all to make the character of ACP Verma human and relatable!!

He is the one to watch out for and the guy doesn't let the "common man" down 🙂 Prachi Desai, a great actor is unfortunately reduced to a character artist just like in Silence1.

In this case a weak script lets the film down . The climax ... really makes u feel as if u r watching a Ekta Kapoor serial !! Having said that.. the film has its moments , especially the investigative part where Bajpai & his team try and find a correlation between the cases . That was enjoyable!

When u compare this film to its predecessor, Silence1, it falls short of expectations as the bar had been set high !! As the ending has been left open for a sequel, the writers need to iron out the rough edges and come up with something more innovative!!

A one time watch .. cudve been better though !!
